There's actually a setting that skin authors can add now which stops the text shifting over to the left when the usericon is gone when on a domain. Don't think anyone has used it yet though.

Elvis taught me everything I know about skinning. The man was a dynamo in Photoshop. He could work it with one hand while holding&nbspa burger in the other.

"Brad I think you (Stardock) are partly to blame for this lack of innovation. Most of the skins these days are created with your 'widgets' and just coloured. Perhaps it's all a little too easy to 'create' a bland, minimalistic skin."&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Possibly the most untruthful thing I've read. There's certainly a lot of first time skinners

"WB was around long before StyleXP even thought of existing." Even the short lived EFX, CustomEyes and Illumination preceeded StyleXP by a good 3 years. But TGT either selectively forgot those, or just proved their ignorance to the real skinning scene that exists. [Message Edited]

Sad, but true. You can go through the skin sections on any site these days and some more generic blah with no character, and the descriptive author comments generally follow the same type of patterns: "Made this with X colours bcoz 'so and so' asked for it, commentz plzzz!!" "Made this shiny becauze ppl like shiny skins" "This is a beta alpha delta pre RC1 2 unfinished release" The minimalist craze is something I've never understood either. If you want a non-bloated, minimal, bland skin, turn off

From a skinners perspective, one thing that REALLY irks me is the attacks on the skins themselves. I take that very personally as it's an attack on all the skins really. My skins may not be the most highly polished, or usuable, but they are Unique and I know the gfx don't suck. If I wanted a fast, clean, minimal skin, why bother any skinning software at all. XP classic does all that.

Another thing is that you can go into virtually ANY Msstyle/StyleXP section on a forum and you will&nbspvery likely never&nbspsee any WB skinners in there stirring the shit up. No 'StyleXP sucks', or 'use WB style xp is X thing' yadda yadda. I think it's mostly the younger people who were introduced to skinning through XP and StyleXP and have appointed themselves self-taught 'experts' on what is what. In saying that, when someone from that scene does start some crap, the WB fans&nbs

"Themes are also going to have wider appeal because they will work on the older machines just as well as the new" That's where to confusion comes in. People who download skins are under the impression that skin authors create them just for other people. While this is true for a large majority of folk, there are still some who don't suscribe to that whole 'ego skinning' thing. Myself, as an example, I would never optimise my personal skins simply because I don't have an issue with

The close button vanishes if you have the transparency switch set for MDI buttons. It's not functional on those buttons, so it's better to remove it, as it causes that problem with the notification bubble.

Copyright laws protect artists from ignorance such as that. And please watch the language on the board, we prefer that you don't swear as there are a lot of younger users on the site.

Create a new titlebar button. Set the visibilty setting so that it only appears when the window is rolled up. Add an extra visibility setting that sets it 'adds to border' The image for it should display the area of the skin that's missing on rollup. The alignment should be that it's positioned over the missing area. And finally, set the buttons click function to no click and 'passes messages to the titlebar' After that it should fix it for you.
