15 by Essencay - 4/11/2004 6:08:12 PM Though I don't use it, I'm surprised is that ObjectBar doesn't seem to get a lot of acknowledgement...only 207 skins That's down to it being a pain to figure out how to skin. It's something that oft been brought to Stardock's attention, and ObjectBar 2 is said to have been overhauled to make it much

I still feel that Cursor XP is one of the best if not the best when in comes to overall skins design and ability to make them My opinion is that for skins design, nothing beats the folks in the Winamp 3/5 scene. And as for ease of creation, Beatnik or Quicknotes would win that one.

The queues get backlogged sometimes, and they way they're arranged by default is newest stuff at the top, I think. So if it's a big queue, some stuff takes a while to go through. We get there eventually though...

#9 by Essencay - 4/10/2004 8:14:11 AM Maybe if the thread was titled FREE NUDE PICS OF BRITNEY the "default sputum and speres" crowd would read it That would certainly make me interested in the board again!

It's the Red Hat skin for Windblinds, based on the Red Hat Linux theme. If you do a search here in the Windowblinds section you should find it.

#10 by webgizmos - 4/9/2004 8:15:08 PM OK...all good suggestions...but...unless you know they are available...how would you know to search for them? Well, given that there's a search box in each skin section here, and you're looking for 'trails', it's not hard to work out. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/jokegrim.g

Given your post in that other thread too, Hockey, it's&nbspseeming that&nbspyou have an illegal serial number. Please don't post here anymore trying to obtain the suite. If you want it, purchase it and you won't have any problems finding it. If you have already purchased it, e-mail [email protected] and explain the situation. Give them the full name and e-mail adress you purchased with, and they can look it up in the database.

You want an i586 ISO. The latest Mandrake build is 10, but I believe that's an early release version. The last solid build was 9.2 I think, which came out in December or thereabouts , so it's worth looking that one out.

I've dabbling in Linux a bit and I used Mandrake as well. Liked it very much. I can also second Essencay' suggestion of trying Knoppix out. That way you can see if you like it before installing a proper build. Also, SUSE Linux is available as a live eval CD based build too.

The latest Bootskin is the cause of the system halt. A few people have reported it and I think it's being looked into. QUick fix for now is to stop using it. As for the WB skin not applying, Skinstudio just sends the message to WB to tell it to apply the skin, it has no effect or control over the displaying of the gfx, so it's not repsonsible for that problem I would say. And Sks doesn't load anything at startup so it can't be the cause of any system lock ups upon boting either.

I think that's the classic-style logon setting. If you go into Control Panel&gtUser Accounts, and 'change the way users log on and off', make sure the box with 'use welcome screen' is enabled. I don't if that's also related to the usericon problem, but I think it'll certainly fix the shutdown dialog one.
