Paul, that's 'IP!' Magazine, isn't it? Honz and I got a Winamp skin in an issue of that in 2000, as did a few of Dangeruss's and Marek Wojtal's. And,as they did with you, they sent me a copy as promised, so I too can back you up when you say that there's no problems about letting them use your skins. Amen to that. OTS is a godsend. I used to dabble in LS a lot, but lost interest because I was constantly wandering all over the place trying to find modules/builds and setup themes, but the OTS system has sucked me right back in, and now I'm even working on my first theme.

Sysmetrix has a great GUI-based skin config/builder, so it's a good one to start with. Ez Pop is a close 2nd, as it's fairly straightforward. Coolplayer is slightly more tricky. It uses the standard ini-based format (Like Ez Pop), but depending on the complexity of your skin, the ini can take a fair bit of time to do.

They're two seperate programs. You have to manually update SkinStudio when you update Windowblinds.

It's to do with the way the scrollbar in IE is constructed. It's not made the same way as the standard explorer ones, so it doesn't get skinned. This is only in 98/2K machines, in XP, the scrollbar is now skinnable.

For me, 'Major Tom' by Steve Moss is the classic Winamp 2 skin. Can't go wrong with any of Steve's work, for that matter. As for your ctrl panel question, create a new folder on your start menu, and rename it exactly as follows(Including brackets): {21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}

If the file is in .wba format, you can simply click on it, and Windowblinds will install it automatically for you. If it's in a .zip , you can just unzip it normally.

It's not even a program, it merely let's you replace the default XP windows style with some new graphics. WB does the same, but in a legal manner, and adds more functionality to it all (Plus you're not restricted to a pre-defined shape for the layout). As for it's stability, it's only as stable as your PC, since it's a feature of XP.
