IIRC They changed plans, the expansion after Diplomacy won't be "micro".
That was the spec I heard last... when did they confirm it?

Doesn't it just figure I don't discover the bundle deal until after it's already over :( If I'd seen it, I would have pre-ordered on the spot! :( Edit: Isn't seeing bundles like this one of the reasons to sign up to the newsletter... which I never seem to get? :(
Have any of you used it or do you just moan about it and distort the FACTS....
Actually, yes. Which is why I know that Suckrom has a habit of breaking internet explorer. (As in in created a situation where right clicking on something caused explorer to crash; I found a solution online that involved deactivating parts of SuckRom apparently designed specifically to prevent you from right click on stuff).
I'd like some way to move preferences around, so that (as I did) if the user makes a mistake, there's a way other than starting over from scratch to fix it.
Talk to your bank! We don't know anything about your local bank's habits, but it sounds like they put a more permanent 'hold' on the funds than they should have. I know that my bank frequently puts 'holds' on funds (marked on my e-statement as being 'pending' transactions) that represent the fact that the money is going to be withdrawn, even if it hasn't actually happened yet. That said, they usually drop off in a day or so if no actual charge arrives, and your bank should h
Yeah, it is a bit wierd. That said, I've been liking the windows 7 RC I've been running, it's great! :D
I make a Spot check. Do I see anything? (On topic: awesome news!! I hated those small civs whose only purpose was to give you a nice planet and maybe some techs prior the conquering.)
You roll a natural 20! ... That means you see the dragon whose jaw form the 'dark cave' ahead.
Bleh....It looks like, that the devs are "ignoring" specific threads. Weird...
What is so wierd about them not showing up? That's SOP. They show up in some threads, but expecting them to show up in a given thread is insane.
Corny name...at least the War of Magic part...it'd be better if it was just left as Elemental
Don't quote me on this, but I think that name was taken.
"Historically" you'd be wrong as they started on OS/2.
OK, let me rephrase: sicne teh collapse of OS/2, they've been pure windows and have stated, strongly, their intention to remain that way :P
I doubt they'll be using OpenGL; SD has historically been a windows based company, which means directX.
And the settings button is no longer disguised as a logo
But I liked the orb!
Haha, I'm pretty darn sure I was charged already for the game.
No, you weren't. I don't remember the technical terms, but all Impulse does is ask your bank / credit card company 'does this card have sufficient funds for this purchase?' Some banks / credit cards (most, actually) will put a hold on the funds that may show as a charge (for example, Well's Fargo will show it as a 'pending' transaction in my online statement), but that will usually
...you have to actually try to write it badly for it to be hard to understand...
I'd have to disagree with that statement :D There is a lot of leeway, yes, but as with any language, whiel there is flex you have to follow the rules to be understood. And on a slightly less technical level, I've seen some people with truly atrociuous grammar and spelling who don't have to 'try' to be completely illegible.
This is why I've created this topic.
So we can all sit around going 'we don't know! We don't know!' at each other?
Where's the beta? It seems as though it's out but I have no access even though I purchased it .
It's not yet out... And you may have pre-ordered, but until you're actually charged, you can't call it 'purchased'.
On another note, I highly encourage everyone to go to the next PAX.
:( $$$ is a problem :(
Well, too late for that :D (reinstalling oblivion would require reinstalling the bajillion mods I've got) Thanks, though!
1. Gondor 3rd Age - I'm still not completely sure how they will work out. They don't really have anything comparable to a "channeler" so this could be hard. They will be strong defensively, but less so offensively.
Denethor is shown to have a strong 'will'. While he doesn't throw fireballs around... does anyone in the entire series really do that? Magic is always very subtle, a matter of opposing wills and things that just work better tha
I think I'll stave off until after someone with more bandwidth rehosts them. I"m patient (and stuck with lots and lots of school work to keep me buys :D ), the game will keep.
The irony is I thought about that comic, and decided it was too nerdy to mention. If absolutely frigen' hilarious!
The problem appears to be that obse_loader.exe (the oblivion script extender) wants to change some files on the HD; no matter which files I give it permission for, it still needs administrator OK. Not sure why.
Are you suggesting that if a game is not designed exactly like SMAC, you think that the amount of information being exchanged between clients and the host is going to be less than SMAC?
No... he's pointing out that SMAC had a high amount of data compared to other games to transfer (though, in truth, it should have been possible to only transmit the data... the joys of a P2P computational model!)
Please get your facts right. It has been confirmed by Stardock that you will be charged when beta starts. When the payment goes through with your bank, you'll get a serial key by email and can download the beta with Impulse.
I think his point is the wording is wrong :P
