Update: YES!!!! All program icons are back!! While I was waiting for the return mail from Stardock Support I got a thought telling me to check if there was a new version of IP on the SDC. There was v3.00b.093. I installed that and rebooted. Now all icons are finally back! =D Dang, that was a very stressful 24 hours since I got a lot of work to do this weekend. phew...</fon
Update: ALL .exe-files show the "unknown format" icon. Since I have not been a member of DA, only visiting the site now and then, my words may weigh less than those of a member. As cvilledave points out, disabling the Repair Shell Icons option is probably the best way to be able to run your Steam games while having IconPackager installed. Hopefully Stardock will fix the bad iprepair.dll behavior soon.
It's really odd that when uninstalling applications like IconPackager, iprepair.dll is not uninstalled with it but continues to run in the background.

Hi Rupert Allen! RandyMck2003's tip worked perfectly for me when I today installed Icon Packager 3.00.090 and got the same problem you describe with running Steam games. I uninstalled Icon Packager and all instances of iprepair.dll from the registry and rebooted. After that HL2 works again.

Yeah, the problem is that it's not visible in the Task Manager. And undegistering it through command prompt doesn't work either. The feedback says *LoadLibrary("MCPCore.dll") failed - The specified module could not be found.*
MCPCore.dll in the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Stardock refuses to be deleted even after uninstalling Stardock Central. For some unknown reason it is running silently in the background How do I remove it?
