Today I decided that I should update my Object Desktop subscription. Bad idea =\ I had payed online and started up my Stardock Central to let it update to the newest version. Just as it updated the central I noted that the "hidden when inactive" icons in the systray suddenly all popped out in full view. But guess what, the Stardock Central update removed the "hidden when inactive" feature i

lo werewolf In the forums Dave noted that when going through the tutorials the Objects folder mentioned there didn't exist in his updated version. I checked and found that it didn't exist in mine either. He then wrote that after downloading the full install the Objects folder was now there. I did the same and found

Yes, the skinning handiwork by Dangeruss was what inspired me to get into the GUI business too. Any chance Dangeruss can shed some light on what is going on with Hoverdesk at the moment? The site hasn't been maintained for many years now. Is the product dead? It would be a shame...

woop! The News post is now on the frontpage in it's entirety. You can just reduce the News article to the first line, linking to the rest. No need to let it take up so much space Thanks Frogboy!

Yeah I read that News posts were being moderated so I waited for 2 hours and then I figured out that it had been "moderated". I then wrote the forum post. It is still showing up in my Profile page with the other posts I've made. The link to the post is this: http://lilstarfish.wincustomize.com/articles.aspx?SID=5358&aid=79706&UID=1226252 No idea why it was removed from the forum topic list.

15 years ago most companies didn't even have computers. Only one or a couple for special tasks. Today computers are almost everywhere and used as tools to accomplish things faster and/or easier. Usually making a lot of boring tasks easier, though still probably boring. Then there is the other side of the coin where computers, both home and at work have become more of a distraction than being "useful".

Why were my posts about the release of Axialis IconWorkshop 5.1 removed from the forum? I first posted a News article that never showed up. Then I posted the news as a forum post. That post showed up but disappeared after 20 minutes. What was it with this news that caused the news to be censored?

Make sure you have the regular Windows "web fonts"; Arial, Verdana and Times New Roman in your Linux system. When the web-browser reads a web-page telling the browser to show Verdana and the web-browser can't find that font, it will use a substitute.

Ok, back after a little research... I would say that the best bet on what's barely visible in that clip is one of these "surveillance" spy-machines: Cypher http://www.globalsecurity.org/intell/systems/cypher.htm

Lo Firedogs Ron & Son Jose I can recommend Wacom's products from my own experience with different bigger size models. Wacom also have small models that are equally good for people wanting to be able to draw with a "pen". The only difference is that you get a smaller area to draw on but the tablet will let you work with paintings any size you w

"It's not about intellectual property, or giving credit, etc....it's about not attributing such importance to sayings purely for the fame of their orator..." I'm not attributing any importance to quotes because a certain person said or wrote something, as I said earlier, I always add the source of a good comment, no matter if the person is "famous" or not, as long as I know who said what. It's up to the reader to judge what qu

"There doesn't seem to be any record of it on KTNV's website, so I'm wondering if it's a leaked teaser for "War of the Worlds."" Hmmm...actually, that MAY be far more correct than we know, I'm not sure but here's why I say that. When you want to make people believe in things that are not true or if you want to implement new "rules" that you know that people will get mad about, there is a technique called "preconditioni

There has actually been quite many "UFO" reports in the "regular" media the last couple of years. I was interested in the stuff in the mid 90's but lost all interest when I found that most of the stuff was just "misdirection" created to keep the people busy and off other events. Now, everyone need to remember that UFO means "Unidentified Flying Object", NOT "Unidentified Flying Spacecraft" as many tend to make of it.<B

"Whether you obsess over their grandeur or not should not be based on 'who' said it but on what was said.." I always add the author of a good quote, if I know who that is. It's a courtesy, not to mention good form, to other readers, who may want to know in order to find more words of the same person, and not an "obsession over their grandeur". I had hoped you, as someone administrating intellectual property would appre
