1. With a "Windows Start Menu" as part of my bar, but when clicked on, it often promptly disappears. I'll click again, and it may disappear quickly again. VLC and several other programs allow the entire desktop background to become a video display, but unfortunately, IconX places the try windows background behind it as it uses the entire desktop. If you set the wallpaper to none, IconX just shows the color of the desktop and you can't see any video behind it. There needs to be a way to make the background of IconX transparent so that you can see the true desktop background.
Ihave a similar problem from time to time. I reformatted my hard drive at one point and it seemed to solve it, but now it's back again. At first it only crashed explorer every once in a while, but now it is frequent. I have a Nvidia 7900 with the latest driver.
I have the same issue, but not just on shutdown. Explorer will crash randomly followed by Dr. Watson. I have to manually end all Dr. Watson tasks in order to get Explorer to close and reset itself. Totally not cool. Look forward to a fix. for now, I've disabled WindowFX to maintain stability. WindowBlinds seems to be working great with no crashes.
