Yeah. The cut scenes are choppy on my desktop pc. They were fine on my Gateway PIV laptop (which is a slower and less capable machine than my desktop...) The newsrobot movie is perfect though with no chops or sound blanks, but the movies are as such. Additionally, the ships selected area, next to all the options such as government, and alien affairs, is choppy when moving too. :( You'll be happy to know that the intro screen is fine though.

They did have a bug a while back saying that the subscriptions were expired before they were. Unless your's really is.
I am getting the same error after following the same setup proceedure which you have done. Win2k, Sp2, 512mb ram, Nvida GeForce3 with 64mb ram Merc. (I'm kinda glad I've kept a back up of the old 0.8 beta version. lol.)
Id expect it to be able to unload as one too.
I wouldn't mind having it like that either.
I have the same problem on my grandparents computer when playing MS Flight Sim 2k2. The problem is something with the video. Although it's not related to the sound drivers. Goes to show that all things interact with each other.
You must be connected to the internet for it to appear I just found out.
I may sound a bit ignorant, but I've yet to figure out how to submit to it. How do you do it?
They will probably be writing one (if they havn't already) by the time it goes into a beta or at least sometime before the Final.
It would happen with or without a ship selected last time I checked. It hasn't happened since I downloaded the new Alpha 10 so far, we'll see if it does soon though. I can tell you that it would do the same thing without a ship selected while pressing the "decomission" button.
I have had problems with the autopilot. When the destination is assigned, the ship performs the initial move, but following turns the ship doesn't move. Have not found the trigger that causes the autopilot to freeze.
I've experienced like problems, with the addition of the screen not "following" the selected autopilot ship.
I don't know if it's been mentioned before, but upon pressing the button with the green arrow (the one which changes the ship's actions? Autopilot -> Sentry) the game crashes and provides no output to the screen. There is a debug file who's contents I can post, correct?
No, they switched appearances.
Awsome, as I like that particular one. I'm one of those people who seem to like the "good looking things." Wasn't sure, so I'd thought I'd check on it. :)
Ok, then in that case, I suppose it wouldn't be just a problem belonging to me. :)
Why is it that in this image: http://www.galciv.com/images/screenshots/514200264153PM.jpg, the Invasion graphic is farm more advanced than the one that is actually in the game? Was it scrapped, or have they decided not to put it in yet?
Who knows, I have never played any other version of GalCiv other than this one. (Unless I did and don't remember...) It's good whatever you all pick.
Perhaps it was some sort of confusion. Either that, or a very very very large ammount of evolution.... Cross-Breeding?
Oh, sounds so like my place. But I live 30 miles from the ISP base. My grandparents are about 2 miles from the ISP, and they get a excellent 50.6k on their line.
Actually, cancel this, I _just_ noticed that they _ARE_ in MP3 format. Stu-pid me for not checking first. LOL.
Is there a way to get the GalCiv music in MP3 format? or any other format without haveing to record the invididual musics while in game? I think this would be nice.
The introduction thingy recently has been "hanging" with a black screen for up to 10 seconds recently. Sometimes it skips all together. Althought the game never freezes.
Possibilities.
oh good. LOL
There are already half a dozen in there too.
