I have always been enamoured with fortune cookies and the like. You know, things like Magic 8-balls and books of answers that you are supposed to open at random to get the answer to your question. Usually, the fortunes they give you are entertaining and sometimes they hit rather close to home. Of course, there are times when they hit the nail right on the head.

Man, how could I forget the A-Team... that's classic indeed. Sledge Hammer was pretty good too. There was Quantum Leap too...
http://www.huppi.com/kangaroo/L-liberalmedia.htm This article makes some of the same arguments you are currently making from that movie. Its scary stuff all around. And as I've come to learn over the past few months, presenting two sides does not a balanced story make.
Glad you enjoy my column Ravenblack. :) What was your favorite 80's tv show? I think the show I miss the most from the 1980's is the Equalizer ... great music, nice premise, and Edward Woodward was perfect for that role.
I realized last night after I got off the computer that I missed the best joke of all... Punto is one little letter from being a Pinto, and we all know that was a quality automobile when it wasn't blowing up on you. Now, about the dream.... saying that I personified American stupidity, blah blah blah. Some drea
"A Dingo ate your baby". Best Seinfeld double sub-reference ever!
That is really impressive... and your up to #9 too. Good job and congratulations!
This week I thought I would check out the world of Television, as the Summer Olympics are over and the new season is slowly starting, so now seems as good a time as any to look at site for people who like to be well-informed about
Touche Angloesque... touche... Hey, your soap box almost looks like mine... only mine is a bit bigger... not that its a competition...
"The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" by Ennio Morricone basically just says Western now....
Well, the thing with the technicalities is, you have to really do the leg work to win on those grounds... but when you do make the effort, in most states, there is usually something you can find to get out of the ticket. At least that's what shows like Dateline and such discovered.
I love this story.... there was a guy in England who got ticketed for going 115 mph in a Fiat Punto and he successfully fought the charge by arguing that there was no way he could have gotten one up to that speed. Now, if you haven't seen a Punto, it looks like this: <img src="http://www.fiat.it/FIAT_ITALIA/uploads/1006/1073897740/20040205/kv_pic_punto3port
Turkey has land which a possible Kurdish Nation might want.... because there are a fair number of Kurds in the region of that country bordering on Iraq... one of the claims that the Turkish government has made in the past is that a Kurdish nation would be dangerous to their own country.
http://www.snopes.com/music/artists/hung.asp Wrecking the illusion for everyone here!
All I know is Turkey is vehemently against the Kurds having an independent state.... so that would be a sticky point.
I think with my last 3 articles... well, I foresee some weird referrals from those now that I think about it. Those I think its funny that for the whole "Great American Shoutout" thing, my article comes up #1 on the google search... higher than the official site, and CNN and everyone else who has anything to do with it... hehe.. I know my weird referrals are a-coming... Theophil
Many a joke has been made about country music, and seeing as I am not a huge country fan myself, most of them are rather funny. That being said, I have to admit that sometimes the title of a song just hits the nail right on the head, and is generally memorable... such as these titles. Some of them are funny, some of them are wise, and all of them are real titles.
If anyone needed another piece of evidence that chimpanzees were very close to humans genetically, this little tidbit from China proves to be an interesting case. A formerly "nice" chimp named Feili, has become as Jonathan Katz might say, "one great big ball of bitch" because she's sexually frustrated. After all, she's a modern chimp with mo
I'll take you on too Ravenblack
I don't have any funny/freaky referrals yet.
As an agnostic with a lot of differing views from you, I have to say that I've found your discourse very civil around the subject of religion. You have sound judgment and you often preface your articles that might bring some controversy your way. And while religion is a part of many of your posts, it isn't in a didactic way, rather more a statement of your beliefs.... which I've always admired about your writing.
You're just rusty, that's all RavenBlack.... I'm sure you could beat a person! My experience with computerized chess is the AI does stuff that seems really weird, so it messes up your game. *goes back to Archon*
Joan of Arc, Dick Cheney, Mark Twain . Perhaps the weirdest album title I'll see all year. I mean, they have a song on the album called "The Title Track of This Album". Meant to be funny. Who can say? <a href="
Cal vs. Stanford 1982 in Football
I'd just hate to be that guy though... I mean, mocked on the radio, and in the newspaper and on the internet, and on some blogs(let's face it, probably a lot of blogs ) I can just imagine this guy single near the end of the year, chatting up this girl, and she finds out his last name, thinks about it for a second and remarks, "Aren't you that guy that clogged that toilet at the
