Well, in defense to xino, I also agree. Modeling is a very complicated operation. Unlike 2D, 3D uses all 3 axis therefore all axis of the model must be represented. Like i mentioned before tho in my honest opinion Mapping is the most difficult process taken on in the process of modeling. With 2d, you apply the desired design, effecs, image, whatever, and you're done. with 3D, modeling is just the beginning to a long process of swearing and pulling your hair from it's roots..lol. in response to Cycoced's comment about icons in modeling. (and no this is not intended to be an assault or anger derived...lol) The triangles you're referring to (or I think you're referring to) are called polygons. Polygons are what makes the model's surface what it is. If you're seeing those then they are not complete, OR it's an issue with UV Mapping. Cycoced, you mentioned they don't look organic, but i'm not quite sure what you mean. Organic is the abscence of straight rigid lines. I have made some icons for folders and such and they came out ok. I know what people mean about skinning in 3D though. It doesn't look quite right because XP is based on 2 planes. Since it's on a true zero axis the only way to get past the flat look the image would have to have multi plane surfaces or even notches so that the light would catch the varriences. Ev
awesome, thank you DZ, yea that's a fully rendered image. spent 4 days modeling time each tank. The Tachikoma (blue) is much more complex the the Fuchikoma (Red) so i had to spend abit more effort on getting the surfaces right. Honestly it wouldn't be that hard to design a skin in 3D the issues would deal with lighting. a 2D bevel would look completely different in 3D. As far as my question went I ended up solving the prob by basically reverse engineering Ketrucel Black, and 5imple alpha skins. It didn't take long to figure out how the effect was achieved. Just by taking a look at the one button in studio told me all I needed to know. Didn't even have to export the images since it's all done with margins and stuff....lol. I gotta give the Train man

I have a question concerning the All Programs Mouse over. I've noticed in some of the newer per pixel skins it seems that somhow someone has figured out how to remove it.
