I found out that the Gimp WILL do 3D looking text! I has a bunch of nice options if you go under Logo's and look around. The Gimpshop kept crashing on my computer though. I uninstalled it and, installed the regular Gimp. I have a 64 bit processor with 32bit WinXP, so maybe that's a problem. I don't know. Works good now though!

I decided to just go ahead and download Gimp. (Thanks Fairyy~) I thought it might help to be able to compare them. (Paint.Net and Gimp). (I don't know if there's a benefit to be had by doing this, but....) Thanks for the Gimpshop link Zubaz. I went with that so that if I ever get Photo Shop I'll hopefully have a bit of a heads up. Hopefully when I

Ouch! LOL! I only looked up Paint Shop Pro. Just glancing around the Corel site, I mistook their "Photo Album" for "Photo Shop". (I know, pretty dumb) I can't believe they want that much for Photo Shop! That must be one heck of a progam. Once I can figure out Paint.Net, I may have to post back and ask about Paint Shop Pro. Photo Shop is out of the question <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Ew.gif" border=0 ALIGN="abs

Well, I think that considering anything I do, or say as "simplistic" is funny. I guess questioning my education is proving your point. I could continue to be a pain about this, but I really don't want to pay someone more edumacatted thenn mahself 2 c if u r tieping everything write. I AM glad you pointed out my typographical error in "Gay's". There are

I'm supposedly on 5 MB Dsl. Sometimes this site is really fast. Sometimes.....OMG. I give up and do something else. I don't know if it would help or not, but I've noticed that even when it is fast, it tends to show 1-2 bars progress.......pauses......then bammmo it's there. When it's really slow, it's lucky to get to 3-4 bars in 2-3 minutes. I guess I'm just wondering if there is a re-direct going on that is causing thi

I'm thinking maybe it would be a good idea for submissions to be made to the admin's. Much like you might submit to a freeware site. Realistically, just a post could create this. Then the admin's could post the links in a sticky as they see fit...in a locked forum. I'm thinking that as a new member, it would be a easy way to find out what others are using. I'm interested in the "paid" programs as well. For instance, I've though

I double posted by accident. Sorry. There should be a way to delete a post if you want. Is there? Another freeware program that would compliment the one that you have listed is the PowerBullet. Click Here It's a flash creator. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/BigSmile.gif" border=0 ALI

Po is dead on about Symantec (Norton). You need to rid yourself of that. I use Avast also and, it is a great....absolutely free program. You may want to run a check disk for errors and find a utility to test your hard drive. Major Geeks has a few freeware utilities you can download. I would suggest doing this before re-installing Windows and everything. It sounds suspiciously like a failing hard drive. Major Geeks als

Fairyy~ is correct. You do need the .Net Framework installed. The link in the original post takes you to a page that has the "stand-alone" program and, just below it is the link for both the Paint.Net program and the .Net Framework downloads combined. If you've done all of the Windows Updates, you likely have it already though. I'm int

After working with Microsoft, Paint.Net has served up some major "upgrade's" to your built in "Paint" program. (Don't bother to Google "Paint.Net" You'll get a site that will sell you paint for your walls.) "Glassy" effects? You're covered! "Brushed Metal"? Yep! Layer support? Oooooh, yeah! AND, MUCH MORE! You are going to like what you see! <

This is much akin to describing colors to the blind....but here goes. First, Yes, I threatened violence to anyone who would show my children pictures of naked people. I will not apologize for that. There are no accepted "standards" for anyone doing such a thing. As far as I'm concerned, it would be YOUR motives at question, NOT my threats. I don't know if you're Pope John Paul, Joe Pedophile or Jeffrey Dahlmer! Am I supposed to think any oth

O.k., I highly appreciate this site. I respect the artists more than they will ever know. With that said, where was all of the "anti-censorship" rhetoric previous to this? Either you censor, or you don't. I don't feel that having MY kids, should they browse this site, see a bootskin with a naked woman and man is appropriate. You can clearly see what (I hope) was half (or less) of his Penis, and, you can clearly see at least one of

I personally believe that $50 is extremely reasonable for this product. Using cracks is theft. If you wouldn't steal a ladies purse, or rob your local convenience store for $50, why do you think this is different? Watch a few episodes of "My Name Is Earl". Bad things happen to people who do bad things. It's like Karma dude  TheGuyPc folds his

Well, I don't believe it, but the print screen and paste into Paint works! Whereas Gadwin and Hoversnap would not. Good grief! Good to know though. Maybe it will help others as well. Seemingly obvious, but....... Thanks, I want to show everyone how much I can do, with my limited knowledge. If Gef approves, I've done well!

I've had to exclude MSN premium too. It works, but the sign in menu doesn't work if you choose to switch members. No biggie though. Easy enough to do.

***TheGuyPc smacks himself hard in the forehead*** Well, that worked perfectly. I dunno why your fix didn't enter my feeble little mind..........I scare myself sometimes Thanks again! That has been really bugging me.
