You can do this easily a couple of ways: 1) Open the skin in SkinStudio and use the "Save contents as zip file..." feature (see the icon on the Toolbar). 2) Use your favorite compression applications, e.g., WinZip, WinRAR, etc., to zip the skin's folder, usually found here: "C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds\folder name"

I'm a new first-time subscriber and have a couple of comments: 1) Perhaps it's me, but I don't see "Progress Animations" in the tree on the left. I have to use my browser and visit wincustomize to check on this item. Why aren't these included? 2) I noticed sometimes when clicking on an item on the left, e.g., "News/Web Browser", something totally unrelated is displayed. A few minutes ago, when I clicked on that icon/link, the comm
Are you sure you are using the latest build on OD? Neil, as far as I know I have the latest build although it's hard to tell from looking at what shows in Stardock Central.
Somewhere in one of the posts here I think I remember this issue mentioned already but I thought I would give the matter its own thread. Using the latest WB 5.0 Beta, I am seeing "ghost" Titlebars, "magic pink" displayed on them and solid black Menubars as well. This occurs on both WB 5 specific skins as well as all my other WB 4+ skins. Sometimes clicking on the Titlebar will effect its display but not fix it. <IMG src="http://www.the-highway.com/temp/titl
Bichur, Thanks for the excellent referrals....... just what the Dr. ordered!
What are some recommended applications for creating "Progress Animations" for WB? Are there any Articles/Tutorials on creating "Progress Animations" that might be helpful?
I usually add some simple "click" sounds to the System buttons on the Titlebar to the skins I use most without any problem whatsoever. But tonight I tried adding those same sounds to the "Aura" skin, but they don't work. Anyone else seeing this problem with this skin or any of the other new per pixel WB 5.0 skins? Anyone have a suggested fix to get them to work?
Where is the "troubleshooting page" ? I cant find a button or anything anwhere that talks about textbackground & button corruption Open WB configuration window. "Troubleshooting" is the last item on the left menu. Click on the "Troubleshooting" link and you will see the item you are looking for at the very
Depending upon what you have for wallpaper, transparent Start Menus can be either great or an undesirable strain on the eyes trying to read the text. As for transparent menus, depending upon the degree of transparency, I find they can be very appealing. Lastly, transparent borders are the least obtrusive and IMHO, they add a distinctive and desirable look to windows.
I want to change the font size for the font that is used in Windows Explorer (folder & files text). Where in SkinStudio is that section(s) located? If there is anything peculiar about changing this particular font, please include that too. THANKS!
I got this same error after WB 5 working great since I installed and upgraded it to Beta 003. It happened when I tried to either delete a skin through the WB Configuration or add a new one (I can't be sure which). I tried to restore the previous build and even go back to the first WB 5 build and that didn't work. What I ended up doing was uninstalling WB totally and redownloading/reinstalling WB 5. Opening the GUI after that was slow as molasses for the first couple of times then after that it h
1. Could someone confirm that bug reports are to be reported here on this forum? If not where/how are we to file a report? 2. Arrow skin item: Drop down menus in both IE 6.0 and Windows Explorer display as transparent EXCEPT for the "Favorites" drop down menu. WindowBlinds 5 BETA Troubleshooting Report: STATUS : WB+ SRV+ HLP+ UI+ WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC. WindowBlinds appears
I updated through Stardock Central not realizing that it was version 5, hahaha... the only thing that caught my attention was the failure to archive my previous version. So, until I came here to check out what was new on the forums, I didn't even realize there was no SystemTray icon, etc., etc......... And the 3 new skins display perfectly as best as I can tell. Anyway.. the good news is that this version not only installed fine but it is working great on my old AMD Athlon 1.8 box wit
I have a couple of questions about Toolbar icons: 1) Is there an easy way to install a set of Toolbar icons in a WB skin that doesn't have any other than copying the 14 +/- separate image files to the skin's folder and then choosing each one in SkinStudio? I noticed when I download these type of files, they have a ".wba" extension by default. 2) What is the best way to re-colour a set of Toolbar icons? e.g., what program would you
I've been using WB 4.6 and Outlook 2003 without any problems whatsoever. But I don't use MS Word 2003 as my e-mail editor. Have you checked in Options to see if this option is checked/unchecked? Turn Word on or off as your default e-mail editor for all new messages: 1. From the main Microsoft Outlook window, click the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Mail Format tab. 2. Select or clear the Use Micros
After using Icon Packager "Tools > Restore all Icons" - right-click empty spot on desktop > Properties > Desktop tab > Customize Desktop button > select My Network Places > Restore Default button. Okay..... that did the trick. I first moved the Pixelorama folder to another location and did as you suggested.
I'd be willing to "clear the cache" if I knew where it was located and how to do it. hahaha Do you have a link for his "tute" so I can read it? THANKS!!
have you tried doing manual change with iconpackager? Yep, basically the same thing.. it shows the right icon for the package that is loaded, but it won't apply. I can choose an alternate icon, click "Apply", which will change and then go back to the correct icon and click "Apply" and it won't change. That's the same thing that happens when trying to
I don't know what causes this, but it is driving me nuts! Every so often, when changing icon packages the "My Network Places" icon won't change. If I restore the Windows default icon set, it reverts to a previous icon from a set (Pixelorama), which I haven't used in a couple of months. Repair Icons doesn't work. Rebooting doesn't work.. nothing seems to work. If I try to change it back to the XP default using the shortcut's "Properties" it shows that t
In case the link doesn't work for you; it didn't for me, you can also get a copy of that file here: Link You can copy this File to the GT3 Folder or to the "Windows\system32\" Folder (It's working in both).
If you had WB 4.5 public installed, you need to uninstall that first before installing the "enhanced" version. Make sure you "Unload WindowBlinds" first so that the default Windows skin (Luna/Classic) is loaded. Copy all your WB skins to another folder before uninstalling 4.5 and then after installing 4.6 enhanced, move them back. That should resolve your problem.
HEY..... mucho thanks! It took a little finesse, but eventually I got the silly thing to get moved into the SKS main window and the elusive "tab" suddenly appeared. I closed SKS and opened it again just to be sure that it "stuck" and it did.
. . . but do you have SKS Standard or Pro? SkinStudio Professional, version 4.6.0 build 1071
Well, uninstalled SKS and installed it again via Stardock Central and it's the same old story. Probably at this point, the only logical recourse is to send off an e-mail to Stardock support.
Daiwa, Thanks for taking the time and trouble to provide the screenshot. NOW I know what you mean. However, the "Analyze" tab doesn't appear for me. I can get the "Templates" tab to appear when I click on that item in the "View" menu, so that works. But the Analyze tab doesn't. It's not overly important, although I really dislike things when they don't work as they are intended. I suppose I could completely uninstall SKS, reinstall it via SD
