In the WindowBlinds configuration window, click on "Basic Settings". Under the heading, "Ehance Desktop Elements", UNcheck the item, "use skin sounds (if any)".

I'm just curious if there are people in this community who are running Styler Toolbar (or Styler full but w/Toolbar mode) and WB 5.01. I tried the downloadable "Evaluation Version" of Styler 1.38 and it raised havoc with WindowBlinds even though I checked to use "Toolbar mode". Are these two programs incompatible? or is it possible that there is something that needs to be configured to make them work together nicely? <img src="http://www.the-highway
If you use windowblinds set the program syler in "toolbar mode" otherwise it will mess your windowblinds skin Well, I tried the Evaluation version of Styler 1.38 with WindowBlinds 5.01 with the "toolbar mode" checked and it still raised havoc. I don't mind paying $10 for the "Styler Toolbar" standalone versi
Curently I am running at 3200x1200 on dual 21" monitors. That is what Neil is referring to..... 3200x1200 which is very high resolution. Why not try reducing it down and see if you still have the problem?
I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this problem with WindowBlinds 5.xx and explorer.exe. If I change skins 3 or 4 times via the WB Configuration window and then reboot, I get the proverbial "Ending Process" dialog and I have to manually click on the "End Now" button. If I don't change skins, then there isn't a problem rebooting. Any thoughts on what might be causing this?
Bichur, Tried that and no go! But I just noticed that there was an update for WinCustomize Browser, so I went ahead and grabbed it and now everything is working fine. Who knows? But it's working again and I'm happy.
I have a problem trying to update the "Libraries" section of my WinCustomize Browser and the "Comments" feature isn't working either. When I first open the browser, I am automatically logged in and then the download dialog displays but then fails with the following error: "There was an error downloading the selected library, please try again". I've shutdown my firewall, flushed dns cache, deleted TIF's, etc., etc. but still no go?? Version current
This issue has been previously discussed on the wincustomize forums and reported to Stardock by Mike Bryant, but it's been awhile and no resolution has come. So, I thought I would bring it up again here in the hopes that someone might have a fix for the problem. In Mike's excellent update of Dangeruss' WB skin TorsionBar found here: Link , the Toolb
It's always great to see how WindowBlinds is "becoming" yet remains so far ahead of all its competitors it really has "arrived". And yeh, what is "Taskbar blurring"?? And where is the option to be found??
Okay.... I realize what the problem is.... apparently the author has updated this package and added in the "My Documents" folder icon but with a different one than is offered in the single download he linked to. I loaded the package and didn't see any yellow triangle for the "My Documents" icon, e.g., in the "Desktop" icons section. But I didn't see ANY icon for "My Documents" in the "Folders" section. So, I assumed that it needed to be added. Thus came my confusion, especi
Thanks Jim, But that doesn't help. I want to ADD a missing icon, e.g., in this particular case, the My Documents[folder] icon; not replace an existing icon. So again...... how do you ADD a new icon to an existing IP set.
In the new "OHMYNitroLite.ip" set, the author accidentally left out the "My Documents" icon. He provided a link to download this individual icon, but I don't know how to add it to the set. Could someone provide step-by-step instructions for adding an icon to an existing IP set? THANKS!
Your observation is the same as mine, re: PuTTY. The configuration window skins fine with a non per-pixel skin. But with a WB 5 compliant per-pixel skin, the window isn't fully skinned but immediately changes and is fully skinned when it is moved; even slightly. Admittedly, this doesn't bother me at all since I only use the configuration window to load a saved session and make the connection.
However, after you capture the window using the "Capture Region" profile, there shouldn't be much of anything "extra". And, the image captured can easily be edited in SnagIt. I've done it this way every since WB 5. was released and never had a problem capturing a standard window. Can you give an example of a capture you've done which has lots of these "extra surrounding graphics" included? That might help.
Here's an easy solution..... use the "Capture Region" profile instead. And I find that after clicking on the profile I want to use, and returning to the window, item, or page I want to get a screenshot of, pressing the "Prtscn" key (SnagIt's default hot key) allows me to do things which pressing the "Capture" button doesn't allow me to do.
Open skinstudio and edit them from there. Thanks oh great "Swarmed One"! hehe I do appreciate you taking the time to reply. However, when you have the opportunity (or anyone else) can you be a little more detailed in what this "editing" is comprised of? I was able to recolour the various parts of a Toolbar
I'd like to try my hand at recolouring a set of simple one-colour Toolbar icons to match a particular skin. So, I need to know: 1) What program to use to do the recolouring, e.g., PaintShop Pro, Animation Shop, SkinStudio, IconDeveloper???? 2) What file(s) are effected? e.g., must each individual set (Explorer Large/Large Hot, etc.) be recoloured or can you simply open up the main xxxx.toolbaricon file and recolour the entire bunc
I'm running the latest version of WB 5 beta. Using "TorsionBar" WB skin by Dangeruss and updated by MikeB Link . I noticed that the boilerplate background image used throughout the skin isn't being completely displayed on the Toolbar in either Explorer or IE 6. 1) Can someone check to see if they are also seeing this problem? 2) Can someone recommend what I
aimzzz lamented: I'm waiting for my Trollz plushie... Here ya go!
That version of WindowFX is not compatible with WindowBlinds 5.xx. You need to download the latest Beta version of WindowFX 3.0 through Stardock Central.
I don't have any problem with "transitions" or "shadows". But I have 3 issues (bugs) with this new Beta version: 1) Right-clicking on the icon in the SystemTray, it takes about 15 seconds for the WindowFX window to open. 2) I cannot enable the option for WindowFX to run on Startup in "System Settings". 3) Likewise, I cannot disable "Show the WindowFX icon in the system tray (reloading it will display this config dialog)" in "System Settings" either. <br/

I found what I needed in my particular case. However, the modification I made resolved most of the dark text but not all. So, I'll be investigating this further. For the benefit of others who might run into this same situation, here is the location in SkinStudio where I changed the colour: On the left: "Miscellaneous/Colors" On the right: 3D Controls/Text - System Buttons"
Okay, I'm trying to remedy that perennial problem of the dark text colour on dark coloured buttons on some favorite WB skins. I see this problem mostly with IE, e.g., the "Create" button on this page looks like this: So, what I'm wanting to know is where in SKS can the text colour that is displayed on these type of buttons be changed? Any other helpful information would al
There may very well be a problem on my end, but if there is, how do I go about finding out what it is and then correcting it? Out of curiosity, I manually archived a couple of the other Stardock apps I have installed, e.g., SkinStudio and IconPackager and both of those worked fine; i.e., the .zip files are populated as expected. But manually archiving WindowBlinds once again only created an empty 1K .zip file.
