It uses the word bullied once in the first paragraph which is where any description of this perpetrator should be. It does not mention it in the title or anywhere else in the article. "Teenage killer leaves suicide note" Maybe if it had anything else about in the article like one of the "bullies" saying "we shouldn't have picked on him so much" but it doesn't, and I think it's a stretch to attribute anything else into this other than

I honestly don’t see where they’re blaming anyone but the shooter in the linked article Gid. It mentioned once he was “a bullied outcast with radical views”. Where is any responsibility for his actions being assigned to anyone but him? If your suggesting that just mentioning he was bullied is sympathizing with his actions, I think that’s a bit of a stretch.
It was not that long ago that rape trials would center on the sexual life of the accuser. Basically, one had to be practically a nun in order to get any justice in many of those trials. The mentality was named the "blame the victim" mentality, and was rightly shunned for the stinking thinking that it was. <B
I find it interesting that, like Col gene, you seem to be OK with people staying ignorant and making others pay the price for their ignorance. You know, I didn’t even disagree GM’s article, I just pointed out there are other legitimate reason why people can dislike the rich, and that’s enough to get m
Reply By: CharlesCS1 While in a way I can understand and agree with you, I also have to look at the fact that some of these people who you claim are being screwed may not actually feel as if they are being screwed. I mean a person can only be screwed if they think they were screwed. That would be their choice to accept
I was 14 years old when I got my first lesson in the bigotted ideals that guided my so called "liberal" family. My brother was learning to drive, and my dad had purchased his first car for him. He was talking with my brother about driving, and contemptuously referring to the "rich bitches" who drove fancier cars to the school. And
Rambus Inc was a good friend to me back in late 2000. It was a company everyone loved to hate because they were basically nothing more than an army of patent lawyers keeping the price of memory high for the end user. I didn’t care though because I bought it at 75 and watched it climb to 400 before selling. It actually went to 470 before the pop but I couldn't have been more pleased with my timing, I’m still spending that money:)
I wouldn’t be surprised if Harry Potter was the reason for this absurd change to begin with. The zealots have had bug up their wahzoo about this character for some time. It’s just another fantasy struggle between good and evil, you would think they could see that. They sure embraced the “The lion the witch and the wardrobe” even with all it’s Pagan symbolism. I guess as long as the author is a Christian it’s okay. I think it’s
There is another, better spin to this SF, the "caring humans" aspect of us is transmitted, as opposed to the not-so-caring brute. I do not believe natural selection ever "slows or halts" as you suggest. Darwin himself pointed to this in his Descent of Man. Be well. There are practically unchanged pre-hi
Selective breeding is a form of evolution, but humans haven't been around long enough to actually "create" a new species. I think we’re going to be responsible for our own evolution from here on out.
I agree, but I'm not saying i'm a Christian.
Reply By: Gideon MacLeish There's that human arrogance again. Species have overgrazed their habitat many times through history. Top level predators have reduced many species lower on the food chain to near extinction. We may be the latest, and questionably, the greatest, but we are not irreplaceable. Nature always finds a way
Reply By: Jythier Just like humans have not evolved from humans into anything else, nor have any apes evolved into humans or anything else but apes. This is a common misconception about the theory of evolution. Mutation is the mechanism of evolution and occurs all the time, but evolution only occ
Yes, I am a Christian, stubby, and am not worried about it. I feel thaat we are called to stewardship, and I do my part, but I also believe in a sovereign God to worry about things bigger than me.But being Christian does not negate observable phenomena in nature. Nature has always survived. This is so f
Two things I most wish I could separate would be democrats from liberals and All Gore from global warming.
Reply By: Dr Guy I dont want to find out if we can, and I dont beleive we are having that great of an impact. But as you point out, if we try, we might be able to screw it up (Nuclear winter?), so why are we trying to fix something that even the most sophisticated computers cannot model or predict?

Reply By: Gideon MacLeish I disagree, TA. Species have risen and fallen through the years; what makes us so arrogant as to think we are any different? The earth will continue to "do its thang" long after we are gone.Harsh, yeah, but that's kind of the nature of the beast. What makes us any differ
So if I go around screaming about global warming and using other peoples research to prove it, can I get a Nobel Peace Prize as well? Hell I would deserve 2 of them since I won't be using private jets, I create way less CO2 than he does and I waste less energy than he does. This is not the first time th
Reply By: So Daiho Hilbert People really need to evaluate the message and not misplace so much energy on the personality. That’s exactly right, Al’s credibility on this issue is irrelevant. Is anyone here actually basing their opinion on climate change causes and what if anything should be done a
I laid a stank pickle probably 20 courics before. I had to flush it in thirds so I’m fairly proud of that, but it doesn’t compare to Randy’s 100 courics. I mean Holy shit! PF Changs 3 times a day for a week, that’s just stupid.
Deliver that Mack just like a white wing dove..
There is no spoon; there is no spoon, aaahhh... splat! I’m afraid mind over matter is just bullshinto. Matter will win in the long run, and no amount wishing, praying, or chanting, will ever change that. You can try and become part of an orange until the sun goes cold and your understanding of its nature will never be greater than you can learn with a cheap microscope. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Bo
Since I can read what you wrote we know that we see the characters the same way. So if we’re creating our own reality then our minds must be part of a single consciousness. If we are all part of a single consciousness that creates its own reality to be shared by its individual parts, then when humanity learns something new that knowledge was already known by the single consciousness then simple revealed to its individual parts. Which would not only sug
