I'm beginning to think you're a shill for the place, stubby, as you always seem to relate every topic back to the possibility of immortality...in this flesh, on this earth. Just happened to fit in the two articles, they both have the same no hope for humanity theme going and well me being such and optim

I think history can go along way to predicting the future if you add in human psychology. I'm not saying this in a defeatist way, but an objective realistic one. Do I want us to all just become idiots to the degree that we self destruct once and for all? Nah. But if you made me bet my next paycheck on whether we'd all become immo

Are you blind or something? Everything you quoted speaks of past and present civilizations, it says nothing about the future of civilization. And by your response, I ass

Make sure you use that faux intellectual line, too. He'll like that. How does a response to a sentence you wrote, relate to anything Instapunk wrote? I don’t see where he wrote that this would always be the true of civilizations do you?

The catalyst to everything you and author are speaking of is the physically and mentally tiredness that comes from the effects of aging and the day-to-day pace of our lives. Not because we’ve done everything there is to do. Every day is a race because we feel time is chasing us. Whether or not you believe that in the future death will be optional, and IMO that’s becoming as big a truth as death itself, you have to admit, it would completely change huma

I love chick flicks, I just watched The Holiday last weekend. Only in a chick flick can you witness the universe unfold in the most unlikely way. I witnessed someone stumbling to their sister’s house, drunk and alone from the bar, only to find Camron Diaz there drunk and feeling very alone. Then within two minutes she asked him if he would like to have no strings attached sex. Inspiring, one of these nights that going to h

I bought a gateway back in 93 and every computer since then has been homebuilt, it’s a lot of fun. There are a lot of junk components out there, and they can really cause a lot of heartache, so I research every component. Reading all the reviews, professional and consumer to get the most bang for the buck. I build a new one every year so practically all my family has a cheap hand me down. They buy the case, monitor and keyboard and they’re goo

I don’t have one now, the one I used to have I made using sheets of green foamcore. If you’re going to artistically manipulate the image similar to what you did with your daughter in your other post (Those are some big beautiful peeps there by the way) then a green screen is the easiest way. If you’re just doing strait portraits, then more traditional backgrounds are the way to go. If you know the background your going to use be

Photoshoppers don’t need no stinking backdrop. Actually a green backdrop stretched tight so the color stays uniform can make creating an alpha channel mask much easier. With black, you see how the shorts blend in; it would just be guesswork to separate them. Once you have a mask you can drop them into any backdrop you want, even add shadows and change hue to match their new surroundings. With the green screen you can just choose

If your blogging to make friends you need to make the effort like MM says. There’s nothing personal in your writing. Try writing more playful, trivial material, like if you have a good day or a bad day write about it. Talk about your kids, kids are writing material fountains and people will relate to that more than current events. Me I come here to argue and to challenge my own perceptions to see how they hold up under critical review, even ta

Wow you’re on a roll dude; did you hit your head today? You again offer such slam-dunk statements like “I even question this idea” and “Science does not support this idea”. Wow you took the time to write them down they must be factual. Of course genes affect behavior. Oh Snap! Take that.

Zydor, So, is world peace ever possibleNo. Distrust is the main reason for conflict and because we’re never sure of others intentions we take steps to counter, so conflict is often a self-fulfilling prophecy. Technology will make it impossible to hide anything, even thoughts, so deceit will not be p

Yep, the only time I watch broadcast news anymore is if something big happens and I want to see it live on the big screen. A couple of news feeds and I stay informed on the things I need to know. Living blissfully ignorant of Lindsay Lohan’s legal problems.

You two give new life to the term “there’s someone for everyone”. I agree with your analysis of our group mentality and that it has not changed much in 10,000 years. Although for whatever reason you’re only seeing half the picture, (that would be the good half). Individually however we have changed a great deal. Individually we tolerate much less violence and cruelty and are able to empathize much more with or perceived enemies. I fail to und

Many, myself included have been saying this for years. It’s the government that has a bug up their ass about though; they won’t even entertain the idea. Even though it’s far superior to corn or switch grass for this purpose. Like you said it grows just about everywhere, it’s a weed, it doesn’t require fertilizer or pesticides and it has numerous other environmental friendly uses, the most useful of which is paper. It could cut in half the amount of def

This article sounds to me like your arguing for universal health care. In our continued discussion, one individual points to the lack of funding for stem cell research and claims it to be an embarrassment. The idea is that not only does funding need to be provided for medical research, it must be GOVERNMENT funding or it

The moon will be the next land grab. The race is already on for control over its real estate. The moon has one resource we know of that’s worth the expense to mine, and that’s Helium 3. Which is worth about 3 billion a tonne. If the moon were littered with gold bars it would cost more to get them than they're worth. Google “Helium 3” if your interested in learning more.

The boner defense, your honor I had severe blood loss right before this act occurred, causing a complete loss of cognitive abilities. Since I was incapable of making rational decisions at that time, I cannot be held responsible for this pregnancy.
