The hard cap on sensor range has been explained, IIRC it has something to do with code and how any sensor range bigger than a sector made the game go haywire.
Excalidan
I think he means can he play his saved game in the real game.... I really don't know if you can save over, does anyone?
Ooooooooooooohhhhhh scary..... can't wait
Be sure you read the Journals... your "bug" was actually a highly requested feature.
"If perfection is the only answer, you need to find a new question" "Lucky? Yeah, that's me. I find a four-leaf clover everyday- they're just missing a leaf." -Unknown
a la SimCity 4, where you could put labels on anything. Would be handy for larger maps.
Click on the Civ Manager button on the bottom of the screen. There is a "Governor" tab in the window that opens.
This has been discussed, but it could cause too much cheese. If it were limited, to say maybe gaining only one more point, it might be ok, but I don't know how hard that would be to incorporate.
Well might be kind of hard to enforce borders that are gazillions of miles from the nearest planet... it is a game, but it is space, which is pretty big.
Uhhh doesn't really make the game unplayable, just put stuff on the green ones and go with it
Psio, the tech victory is not a myth. However, it does take a VERY long time to research and actually win with.
And make sure you are talking about the major races- minor races never expand beyond their home planet. Ever.
Ok, calm down. Everyone- that's you AND THE AI- lose production/research the first turn after you load a game. So if you lag in tech, it's not because of this due to the fact that on the empty turn the AI gets nothing either.
Without info warfare, one transport will always be dumped on the planet, regardless of how many in the fleet.
I posted it a while back also, never got an answer. If there's a planet in view then all other sectors above that one just go black. Can't see anything.
Mistoffeles said- "Orbits could be handled by displaying a star and its planets as one object on the map, with the planets themselves showing as orbiting their star much like the moons orbit their planets presently. You would have to "enter" a system (much like how you enter orbit around a planet presently), which would open a "star system sub map", to go to a particular planet. " That sounds very much like GalCiv I, and trust me, you do not want that back. It didn't make a lot of sen
And we have to wait until October till it starts again!!!!!
I didn't think it was that hard.... it takes maybe, what.... 5 seconds to get them right, even if they do act a little quirky?
The option to turn off Auto-focus is coming. v1.2, 1.3, no one knows yet, but the devs said it was being put in.
I think this was mentioned somewhere, but I miss the GalCiv I way of being able to select both a planet/star and a ship. This is how I would look at the PQ of the planets. Now, there are mouseovers, but when I doubleclick on a planet, I lose ship focus, which is a little irksome after GalCiv I. Thanks! The changes look great
Wow... nice star
Well, do you mean your TOTAL industrial capacity was 100% or your SOCIAL AND MILITARY was at 100%? It makes a difference here. I read the post as TOTAL capacity was at 100% and research was 100%, which would give him full lab capacity (or should).
Well you would know how to use it, because they gave you the technology. Wouldn't that mean they give you all the knowledge you need?
in GalCiv I this event gave the person getting it a 1% bonus to a random ability every turn ( I think this is correct.) So, you won't be crushed quickly atleast.
MoratLyssander- hit the watch button at the top. It will put this post on the watch list, just click the button at the top to get to it.
