Firstly let me apologise that I am writing yet again about work! Today my boss came in and told me my presence in required at a meeting next Tuesday at 10am...why you may ask? Well seemingly I am contributing to a negative attitude in the office. Yes it's true that over the last week I have been quiet at work....for a number of reasons. to mention a couple

I don't really know why I haven't written in a while, it's not like I didn't have the time or inclination...or the lack of anything to say. Basically it just didn't happen. Strange how time seems to move by and suddenly you realise more of it has passed than you thought, strange and even a little scary. Everyone knows the line 'time flys while having fun', but I thi

Great article!! As an ex-Tasmanian I feel I should also add a couple of days that were missed out. Although the state is small with a poplulation of somewhere around 480,000 it is split into 3 main areas: the north-west coast, north coast and the south coast. All have different days off throughout the year for the appropriate 'show days' and of course the Launceston and Hobart Cups also get their respective days off. So even Tasmanians can't d

So, I knew the joy of my new job wouldn’t last forever, I didn’t however expect the ‘new car smell’ to disappear so quickly. The people I work with are really lovely, (we work with disadvantaged kids, placing them with volunteers to let them get out and about with adults who are supportive and listen to them) as I said everyone’s heart is in the right place in respe

Like LW, I'm going to donate any useful organs to anyone who needs them...except my eyes, I don't know why but for some reason I couldn't tick the 'donate your corneas' box on the donation sheet when I got my licence... Stange I know, but that's me, anything else is open for taking. Actually I was just thinking about this last night, as while Chrissy shopping I got asked if I wanted to join Boots (chemist chain) for advantage points and o

7) I am determined to not get caught up in the vast commercialisation of the season...i.e. I will not allow my credit card spending to spiral out of control!!! Now the secret is to stick to the plan... xoxo

No problem, as I said am willing to listen if you feel so inclined... You take what you need, and you give what you can.... a famous band once said " ...in the end the love we make is equal to the love we take..." Lengirl xox

Yes, we all have been guilty of dialing with under the influence and I agree the first thing I would do in the morning was grab the phone and do a quick check. I eventually got to the point where I would delete the most likely 'receivers' of calls on my nights out, maybe a little drastic but it seemed to work for me, either that or I would make myself leave the phone at home... <img src="../images/smiles/lol.gif" border=0 ALIGN="abs

This is my favourite section of the whole dramatic poem, for some reason it sends shivers down my spine. I love the way that the poem empowers the notion of individual choice. i Although he nearly loses his life it is in the end Mafreds will and power of choice that gives him the ability keep his life, soul and his freedom. Choice allows him to win out over his adver

I've never really though about how I write my blog before. I agree though that some are pre-planned while others just pour out when the time is right. I love the therapy that blogging has on me and I'm sure on others as well, it's a diary you don't mind others reading. Thanks again Danny for getting me thinking... <img src="../images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="a

Dear You, It's been so long since you entered my mind, but you did today and I realised that time has not healed all wounds. It's time to get my feelings out and now that I am finally doing it, where do I start? How do I possibly describe how you made me feel, what you put me through, the vast range of emotions I felt because of you and what you did. I nearl

Hi, I hope I'm not putting my nose in where it doesn't belong... Making life changing decisions are never easy, and there is always that little bit of doubt asking 'is this right?'. The problem is for every tiny bit of doubt there is a huge power screaming "I need to get out!! this needs to change!" I think it is this you should listen to. You sound like you nee

I had a similar problem, I managed to get my printer inbetween my mouse and the window...slightly cramped but it'll do for keeping out the winter days. I like the idea of a hut..something like a mouse igloo...?? You could try getting some of those gloves with foam pads on them, like the socks that babies use to stop slipping around...?? Good Luck

The last time I saw the Australian version of girlscout or girl guide cookies (biscuits) they didn't have a picture on the packets, they had the logo only. A bit boring but I suppose it never changes so could keep printing costs down? Haven't had them for ages though, but the last time I did they had a new variety out some kind of chocolate with mint chips all through out...VERY ADDICTIVE!!! Much better than the original plain shortbread kind...<img sr

Yeah!!! I came home today and sifted through the mail and guess what? MY P45 WAS THERE!!!! Finally after weeks of chasing, complaining and feeling frustrated I got a result. So I can now merrily move on with life as normal and put this whole inconvienence behind me... Yeah! <a href="http://students.engr.scu.edu/~

Thanks mick_k It's funny how quickly people back-peddle when you throw the truth in their faces! I'm going to wait till Friday, (I figure two days is long enough to get it posted out) and then will call again and will be sure to record the conversation, as everytime I call I get told some new bit of information. Thanks! <img src="../images/smiles/lol.gif" borde

I've been thinking along the same lines, I just need to formulate a plan of attack! I definetly don't want to deal with this girl again, problem is she's the head of the payroll department and seemingly she's totally seperate from the accouting department..hmmm?? I think they have a head office in London so I may have to resort to that. It seems so silly though, all this trouble for something so trivial! Oh well, such is life... <img src=".
