I agree... I have to be honest and admit that I have no children so have no personal experience, but I have plently of friends and family who have had kids, one in particular suffered from post partum depression. She admits that during this time she felt completely like a different person, kind of like she was shadowing herself, but she never contimplated hurting her baby. She still knew the difference between right and wrong. Her solution
What country is this company in anyway? UK...Glasgow, Scotland. Getting the run around and basically being told I don't know what I'm talking about are two of my biggest pet peeves! Thanks for reading
Thanks Danny Only time will tell... I will again play the waiting game
Coffee in Scotland just doesn't do it for me...they just haven't been able to pick up the nack... Or I haven't found an area where they have...?? Some of the best coffee I have ever had the pleasure of consuming was from Egypt. The beans were delightfuland relatively cheap ( about 10 pound for 500grams)!! If you don't mind the occassional (dare I say it) instant coffee...ASDA do a

Wise man once say; to build wall start with plan then start with stone. I have the plan, I’ve had it forever, I’ve had to make some corrections now and then but in essence it’s always the same plan. I even got some help laying the foundation it’s a little bumpy in places but never the less is quite strong. I think the secret is to allow the foundat

Hiya, Here in Scotland, I tend to listen to BBC4 or Real mainly as our car radio doesn't pick up anything else and we don't have a CD player in it... will sing along if they happen to play a good song (which is rare!!) oh and windows most definetly up (very cold outside ) Back in Australia, I would blast all sorts of music (as I put in a fantastic sound system which I mis

I can understand what you mean. I was very similar except with my mum. The best thing I 'discovered' was that she is a real person, by that I understood that she is still learning about life and trying to find her place, just like me. Now we can sit, comfortable in silence. It doesn't happen overnight, but it does get easier! Good luck!
Dharma, I can only imagine what you went through, but your article brought tears to my eyes and made me look across the room at my partner and appreciate him just that little bit more. Thank-you for being so honest, this such a heartfelt article! xox
It arrived, day one of the new job. Got in this morning at about 8:15 was the first one to arrive, (good impression...well at least to begin with). Spent the first hour, clearing out the cabinets and tidying the desk, I like a neat working area. Then people started arriving and I began my lessons in how they run things. Accounts, Mailing Lists, Contributions...all su

I am so tired, but I can't sleep. I hate nights like this. I end up lying in bed tossing and turning till I eventually drift off only to wake and find that I actually only drifted for about 5minutes. I get up the next day and feel like shit, no motivation, cranky with everyone and everything, and oh yes, still tired!! I've tried the common theories of insom

When I was a little girl I used to think my parents were invincible. They were there to protect me, teach me, and help me grow. As a child I was what could only be referred to as goody-two-shoes, the apple of my daddy’s eye, the memories I have from then are brilliant and give me so much comfort. When I started to grow as a teenager I started to change, I became…well…
I have just spent the most enjoyable afternoon making my own Christmas cards. I used to do it when I was a little girl, but haven't had the patience to do it lately. However I decided that this year I would put in the effort and get a production line going! My partner and I have moved to Scotland (from Australia) earlier this year and so Christmas presents are a lit
Hiya, I am one of your secret readers, sorry! I don't get a chance to be online that often, so I don't really comment much, so as to not get involved in conversations only to leave halfway through, but I love this blogging community and try to stop by when I can. You're writing is honest and real, which is a rare quality! I'll make more of an effort to make myself kn

Dear Floozie (aka Suz), Hi there, I wanted to take the opportunity to say a big Thank-you!, this last weekend was great, I cannot say how much it meant to me, (don't worry I promise that's as soppy as I'll get... LOL ) I think we both learnt a lot about each other and I am really glad we were able to take that step. I've felt that since we met we really
(I posted this article a while ago then thought it I shouldn't have put it where anyone - like the person involved - can find it, but then I realised that this is my blog and I want/need to unload things like this here...so take 2) So it's been a few days since I last wrote. That friend I told you about has gone (the one who was telling tales about staying with my
( I removed this article a while ago (sept) I didn't want the person below to accidently fidn it but I realise now that I want to write about how I feel and in doing that I need to write everything - so here we go) I am so angry! Why do I let myself get into these situations? I trust people and I do things for them and I end up being taken for a ride. The sad
