A program with a complex and very rich skin format that requires a lot of work to make a skin for but the result can be truly unique (say the Winamp 5 approach). Definitely that one, if it were easy, then everybody could do it, then wheres the fun of that? I'd rather come up with an idea and have the experts do it and not tell me how hard or easy it was. Just deliver and tell me they had fun doing it. <

Back on topic, though, I am still clueless. I am using Nero, but nothing is happening. Am I using the wrong kind of disc? I think that is the best philosophy to have. I generally skin the applications I use. I have skinned other applications that I simply enjoy skinning because they are fun. They are rarely downloaded, but I like skinning them. That's pretty much all I care about. when i go to their page it loads a white screen and it says done on my browser on the bottom left. I just tried it and the same result... You could Visit Cindi's DA site and send her a "Note" or leave a comment for her if you want..Of course you have to be a member to be able to do that... I pulled a couple things out that i thought might be in question with you guys The Trick is to leave it alone Azdude, LoL...They will determine what they dont want and what they do.. Just submit new work as new work..not as replacements... Also, I have found that it helps to get permissions whenever possible, an Email doesnt take long to compose, in most cases others are thrilled that you want you use something of theirs in your work..

Tried a boot skin once...last time I do that again. Crashed my machine. Had to reinstall everything. Download everything else because I didn't have backups. What a mess. I thought I did it right. You need some decent burning software...Nero is good for burning, but sometimes you also need to do some converting if your Vid's are not in "DVD" format... Heres a program that I use ... Please define the difference between "splash" and normal for the unititiated. (Maybe in a different [new] post or article) You're kidding, right? I will leave that to someone more qualified I think, I believe that would be the one and only "Boss"..There are others, but Boss really does do the most quality work I have ever witnessed as far as "Splash" Type logons go...Perhaps thats why his get RiPed so often, LoL.. hey make a good start into more intricate skinning once people are 'done' with boots and logons.... While I agree that Boots and "Basic" Logons are a great starting point for people that are starting out in the "Skinning World" I might argue that point with "advanced" Logons, or "Splash" Type.. I cant do boots, they dont work on my machine...So Logons were the best place for me to begin...Logon Studio was great!..choose and change a graphic

So I'm wondering, for other skinners here, do you have the same situation crop up? Things you like to skin more versus wanting to make skins for the larger community? Well I havent skinned anything other than Logons so far, which used to be fun, but I think I am a bit burned out on them...Time for a change Im thinking... 3d Has been frowned upon around here for quite sometime...There are allot of skinners here that are quite familiar with allot of the 3d programs, I see them post their work on DA and other sites..WC doesnt seem to care for 3d works.. I dont know why really, Jafo probably does...
