Now that we're witnessing the lula vs KFC, Protestant vs Catholic crap once again, (how many threads have been polluted with this never-ending argument now, hundreds?) I'm going to bow out. I really wish these two would take that argument to PMs or emails, the horse is long dead, full of maggots, and no longer needs beating. Not that these two would EVER recognize that. According to these two, they're both going to hell, just for different reasons, lol.
LW, I think w
THANK YOU AD, I will be keeping this and reading it over and over time to time, lots of good old fashioned common sense wisdom in there, thank you so much for sharing this with me, truly you are a friend!.
Well, thank you my friend.
Afterall a millstone is quite heavy and would only weigh us down.
Just like the sins of this world?
Hmm, if Jesus had simply been hung instead of crucified, would Christians be wearing little nooses around their necks instead of crosses? (Love that visual, haha.)
Hey LW, what if he was stoned? Would they all wear millstone around their necks?
[e digicons][/e] hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahaha
Yeh I kinda thought there was some kinda glitch when I opened my E-mail and there was nothing from you. I await your email patiently.
*Ding* You've got mail big guy!
I am going to chjeck my E-mail asap, anything that would help deaden the pain would be most welcome.
My apologies my friend I thought I had the file here with me. I will have to do it tonight from a source I KNOW it is.
All I'm doing AD is responding to Lula's posting above in #102 and #104. I didn't start this. I'm just not giving her a free pass here.
I understand, I was merely cautioning you from going down this road. Christianity (and ANY other religion) is riddled with it's own fallibleness.
If I may ask AD. Where does this tradition come from?
Not sure but I would imagine it is Rabbinical?
Hey MM, No one seems to be able to hurt us like family can. My brother when I was in Junior High told me to my face that he wished I was never born and that I was NOT his brother. Being that I was the younger sibling and lacked the ability to decipher this I was quite devasted! Before anyone says that, oh he probably didn't mean it. Well, after he said this he wouldn't speak to me, recognize me, or associate with me. This took place until pretty m
KFC, I'm not sure what we are going to accomplish by accusing the Catholic church of idolatry? I am a Messianic believing Jew. During a Torah processional I bow before the Torah and with a book or Tzitzit touch the Torah and then bring it to my lips. I am in no means worshiping the Torah but I do recognize this as the Word of G-D. There are similar things in Christianity and other religions as well.
Anyhow. I brought two young teens to a Baptist service once. They were both raised in Eastern Orthodoxy which is similar to the CC. There are some differences but basically they're pretty close. Anyhow they have icons instead of statues in their churches in Bulgaria. One girl whispered to the other "how can they pray? They have no icons in this church." The other girl whispered back. "They pray by faith." That's how we're supposed to pray. By faith. [/q
Yes my heart goes out to lil Moshe (the Rabbis surviving son).
Hope you find a way to make lemonade.
The Catholic Dictionary defines: "Religion in the widest sense is the union of man with God. Objectively, it consists in doctrines and precepts by which man seeks to bring aobut this union. Religion is true when its doctrines and precepts are either dictated by right reason or revealed by God. If the former, it is called natural religion. If the latter, supernatural religion. Religion is false if when claiming to be revealed it is unable to show a divine guarantee, o
I cannot upload an avatar pic. That button seems to do nothing?
"Bar" is the Aramaic word for "son" (the Hebrew word is "ben").
Hmmm, I guess I didn't realize that Bar Mitzvah was a compilation of Aramaic and Hebrew words?
Daniel 3:25 is in Aramaic, not Hebrew. The word "Elohim" doesn't appear in it. Instead the words used are l'bar elohin
This is true, I quickly overlooked the final nun.
Church Hunting? I didn't know there was a Church hunting season? Be sure to take a St. Bernard (pun on Saint). Sorry couldn't resist.
A "son" isn't mentioned in the Tanakh
Daniel 3:25 references the 4th person in the furnace as Bar-Eloheem?
I am sure you know that haShem simply means "the name".
Yes, used as the replacement for the tetragramaton (Adonai is another).
Belief in a trinity is already a violation of the first two commandments. The images are a violation of the third. Assigning a "son" to G-d is a violation of the fourth.
How so? You have G-D the Father (HaShem), you have the Spirit (Ruach Elohim aka Ruach ha Kodesh) from the Torah, the 'son' is the prophesied Messiah that Christians believe already came and the same (IMO) as the Messiahs that will come again for the olam haba. This messiah is mentioned
Nah, I'm racist, I'm waiting til white friday to go out shopping (pure tongue n cheek). I'll be far far away from anything most would call civilization (yeah where the dear and the antelope play, where the buffalo roam).
Obama's change is he changed is mind from changing anything to changing nothing or was it changing it back to the Clinton Admin?
I love Obama. Yes I do. He is the Messiah and will fix all our problems. Believe!
Feel the healing LW, FEEL IT!!!!
