I usually click the "create fleet" button with all ships in the system selected (zooming out and drawing a box around the whole system). Then a new fleet is formed and all ships stay in formation. Did you try giving a move order to the whole fleet after the ship has been added? That might help.

I'm sorry, I used the wrong word to describe what I had in mind ;) When I wrote that a quick fix would be to have only one Phase Stabilizer per system I actually thought have having only one phase stabilizer per planet. Right now a Vasari with 3 planets can have 9 Phase Stabilizers, giving him a basically unstoppable fleet. Limiting the PS per planet to one they would still be awesome to teleport through the system but they would not be able to mass-summon ships anymore. Havi

Kruelgor: The problem is that you respond to very justified criticism with arrogance and name-calling (yes, YOU started it, not the others). This topic here is quite a harmless one but the Disciple vs LRM topic is a good example for it. It's not about bullying. The thing simply is that you tell people wrong stuff and then refuse to listen to reason and say you are right when you are not. There are exactly two possibilities: 1) You do it on purpose. You have fun watching people argue aga

Depends on the capital ship. The one on the right is the siege capital for each raze. Those work better then siege frigs, the others don't. I mostly play Vasari but their siege cap can spawn little siege cannons that on their own are about as good as a siege frig and it can have 3 of them active all the time. That combined with its own superior firepower ... no way a siege frig fleet of the same supply can even come close to that. If 2 siege frigs die attacking an asteroid, the cost for

There can not be a strong defense. The problem is that if a planet is able to defend itself against an invastion fleet then it would be completely impossible to ever kill an enemy who has defenses AND a fleet stationed on his planet. Strong planetary defenses would make attacking impossible and force a stalemate in every game, which is boring and would ruin the game. Defenses as they are right now are great. They delay an enemy fleet long enough for your main fleet to make 1-2 jumps

Don't blame the PJI ;) It's finally useful and that's great. I don't have in-dept 1.03 knowledge yet, need to play some more, but against the AI nearly every strategy seems to work. Cap ships only certainly is fine if you tech to cruisers fast and I actually did that recently (wanted to try kodiacs + robotics only as frigs). But the good old LRM spam also works fine and makes it a lot easier then the cruiser rush. (keep in mind, all vs the AI. cruiser rush in MP is suicide, except maybe

The "attack this" or "defend that" requests you can send to allies are nice but they are nowhere near requesting missions like the AI does. And they also only work for allies. I'd love to bribe the AI with credits into attacking another AI while not being allied to any of them (GC2 Drath style ;) ).

Going from 70% to 76% shield mitigation for Advent is in no way worse then the damage boost Vasari get (except against phase missiles ;) ). It's a lot more then a 6% increase in effective HP.

I got Sins a while ago and the zoom to cursor function is just awesome. It quickly replaced any side-scrolling I did with cursor keys or the mouse (edge of the screen). Zooming out a little and zooming in on the new target is just so quick and easy, I don't know how I ever could do without. The guy who thought of it imho deserves a promotion ;) It's central to makes Sins deliver a really awesome gameplay experience, without it all the scrolling needed on a game at this scale would be totally ann

Draginol: Melodramatic posts are the result of users being very frustrated. While you should not really listen to them too much I hope you realize that this frustration usually has a source ;) And this source is the 1.03 patch. When all major gaming clans agree that the patch is a very bad idea and screws up game balance then it is quite safe to assume that they are right. After all, those people play the game the most and usually know what they are talking about. Their voice should be heard

I like classes. WoW, Guild Wars, even Diablo have been quite successful with them. Not to mention all the D&D based games. Balancing classes is just as hard as balancing individual skills. No real gain in skipping classes. As for Warhammer Online: I don't really play MMOs (yet) but so far Guild Wars seems to be better and Age of Conan more promising. WHO will have a hard time competing with these.

Browsergames manage to deal with the "being attacked while away" stuff quite well. Just having a single attack not be fatal helps a lot. Another good thing would be to build heavily around clans (so that an average country has 100 players in it, every player forming a city in the country. countries would then make war against other countries and so on).

The whole building part seems to be like Spore without the initial one-unit-only phase but with heavy multiplayer focus. Is that about right?

What's wrong with the 35%? Yes, it's not THAT much but it is still a noticable increase. But by the time you spread your empire to other stars you own a LOT of planets anyway so you basically have unlimited money anyway. It also helps to have the home planet directly connected to a star. With only 2 jumps to other systems the planets there start with 80% or 70% or something like that.

Don't feed the trolls ;) The only thing that really saddens me about the whole thing is that due to a lack of forum-reading by Frogboy, one of Kruelgors topics even made it to sticky status in the strategy section. Yes, it's his least stupid topic (actually it's even somehow remotely useful, but still way inferior to others overview topics) but feeding the trolls is always bad. That gives the troll even some credibility and is a very serious wrong sign to all people interested in having real

The problem was never that siege frigs were too strong. They were not. They sucked all along with the way too high 12 supply. The only problem was that the AI would build them despite then having no more room for a real fleet and then losing miserably.

Agreed with the refinery edit and partly with the cap edit. If XP is shared then gerneal XP level should be lowered a little bit (or easier: XP required for a level raised a little, like 20% or so). How much exactly do the refineries give right now? With a base value of 0.15 per resource in range (for 3-4 planets with an average of 8 resources) thats 1.2 resources per refinery which sounds reasonable, compared with the 2 credits per second of the much cheaper trade ports). Is the current

I seriously hope this gets fixed soon. A new balance patch (at least some hotfix, it doesn't really need to be 100% perfect) should be doable in less then a day. Devs: Please bring a small hotfix soon ;)

There is a cinematic mode (somewhere in the bar at the upper screen) that toggles the icons, screenshots are usually made in cinematic mode but it doesn't really work well for playing. And ... wow, Gef4 and Gef2. That's old. Great work SD and IC for having games run on such hardware at all ;)

But the damage you list is NOT average damage. Average damage of 5 means that it sometimes does 4, sometimes 6 and it averages to 5. This is NOT how the game works. The damage displayed in the game is NOT average damage, it is ROUNDED damage. Big difference ;) Especially for strike craft. In addition to that, the plain damage really doesn't mean anything. Damage type and armor type are far more important and you are not listing these. Yes, they are not available as ingame info -
