I recently purchased a Windows 8 phone as well. Still getting used to it. It does things that my android doesn't, but the android does things that the windows phone doesn't. Not sure where I am on that topic as of yet.
I agree but I'm iPhone. My W8 phone is a Lumina 920. It doesn't even take as good of pictures as the iphone does and it has a better camera. Not even a fraction of the apps either. But, tha
I have a healthy dislike of Hotmail.
Have you actually looked/tried outlook.com? I like it. I run 2 Win8.1 devices at home, and 3 at work, plus have a work phone that is W8. By utilizing Outlook.com and Skydrive I can get my contacts in Sync across the board and get the files I want to have on each device quite easily.

Can you elaborate on that Kona? For what purpose? I don't think you will be able to access the Windows Store without a MS (Live) account. But once again, you don't have to sign on to your PC with a MS account. You can use a local account. You could also link your local account to your MS account but I would not do that if you don't want to have stuff sync across multiple devices. As for skydrive.. HANDY shit! I use it and find it very convenient. I can access it fr
Charms bar, settings, Change PC Settings, SkyDrive.
Yep. And might I also add that those are not even options if you sign on to your PC with a local account instead of a MS account. In other words.. don't sign in with a MS account and you won't have to worry about any of that. Elementary, basic shit IF one has bothered to take the time to learn how to use W8 before spouting off.

It's all going to go down the drain anyway when your PC is nothing but a dumb terminal that displays color. Cloud OS and Apps are within the near future and THAT will be the mother of all suck. I don't think you are going to see the old start menu (as you know it) on the next version of Windows though. I suspect it will be a hybrid of modern ui and traditional start menu. Time will tell. I'm in the minority as one of those that see / have no issue at all with

Jafo, I've seen plenty of articles and info stating pretty much what I said concerning the tablet and 7 scenario. just like you've seen plenty that points to your view. I think there is a halfway point in there somewhere that is the actual truth between our views. I'll stand on my ground that 8 is NOT a "dud" and it's people that just refuse to give it a solid workout and have to rely on their crutches to walk with it that give it the bad reviews. From a customization
I predicted early on that OEM's would end up with a huge backstock of unsold Win8 machines
People are also failing to consider that around and since the time that 8 was released there has been a tremendous surge in tablet sales. That, along with the fact that a large number of Win7 systems still function just fine are major contributors. It's way to easy to just point the finger at Win8 and lay the blame. (Burn it..
MS is rumored to be perhaps thinking about maybe bringing the start button back.
MS brought the start BUTTON back in 8.1. This is nothing but backward movement on the part of HP. There is much more than Win8 to blame for sales drops in PC's but it seems that Win8 has been the scapegoat for no VALID reasons. There isn't a damn thing wrong with 8 other than people not wanting to learn something new.

XP was much more receptive to customization than 7 or 8. With the exception of a couple of skinners now, the quality of what IS being put out pales in comparison though to a FEW of the skinners works of that era. I fully understand the gist of the OP and have to agree.

Since she purposefully and willingly created and distributed unfounded false statements regarding tangible goods that affect Brad's revenue I would think that there are more than sufficient grounds for a nifty lawsuit that would strike the troll in the weakest spot they have. Brad did not flame back but merely pointed out the damage done to him in another public forum. The high horse riders need to step the fuck down...
