As I read your words while listening to music from the Summer of Love over my headphones and reclining in the dark, I connect: is what keeps me reading and writing and hopeful for a better world. Profound stuff as always, Buddah. Profound stuff as always.

Eh...noticed my lips were broke out in welps this morning and I wondered what the hell? Then it dawned on me -musta been caused from the lime in all those Coronas I downed this weekend for Cinco De Mayo. Heh, didn't even know I was allergic to limes...

On a side note, my favorite hiking stick is made of mesquite. A very light but strong wood, it's perfect for a hiking stick. If you can find a straigh piece, lol. Back when I used to do a lot of wood turning on a Delta lathe I had I turned several mesquite gavels and gave one to all the judges here. Mesquite is a very beautiful wood and literally hard as nails so if you wanna cut it you have to do it while it's green.

Heh, sometimes the big dealers snitch out their own mules and sacrifice a big load to make it look like the drug war is a winnable thing you know. Anyway, if you can ever get some mesquite it's the best thing there is bar none for grilling. Come to think of it, Florida oughta have mesquite since it's certainly warm enough there. Is there any?

Yup, that's why you remove the cables from YOUR car first. Doesn't matter if it's running or not, That's right. And another thing to be careful of -batteries CAN EXPLODE if conditions are just right ad there's a spark. It happened to a friend of mine a while back and he said it sounded like a deer rifle going off and battery acid went EVERYWHERE. He said luckily he had turned his head and had stepped back when it happened.

They're really tiny, really mushy, totally tasty, and only $0.47 each. Then for my ten bucks I could get twenty-one of 'em! Anyway, I googled "White Castle" and the closest thing in Texas is a line of their frozen foods. That sounds... yeech .

Once upon a time there was this couple who had been married for fifty years and decided to go on a honeymoon. Upon arrival at their hotel the wife slipped into the bathroom and put on the same lingerie she had worn the night they had gotten married all those years ago. When she came out of the bathroom she asked her husband "do you remember what you said the first time you saw me in this?" and he replied "sure I do. I said I was gonna suck your titties dry and screw your brains out," he told

Everyone is equal and deserves as much recognition for the sacrifices they have made as everyone else. Heh, I can dig that xtine since my sacrifice is my sanity, lol. And didja notice I didn't cap xtine? I'm gonna try to remember that.

Do we deserve a (capital) 'F', as flawed and unnecessary as we are? What's the point in being a Soldier (or a Banker or a Farmer or a Mechanic or a Carpender or a Teacher) without Family? I don't see anything unnecessary about them at all -in fact, I see them as the reason for fighting (or banking or farming or repairing or building or teaching...)

my waist is still under 40 so I take comfort in that Me too, Buddah. And I take comfort in reading you and realizing I'm not alone in my middle age angst. (Gotta brag a little here though - I DO walk at least two very brisk miles every day, LOL)
