I know better that in structured settings, all those toys just might be more of a tease than anything else. More time will probably be spent taking roll, getting the kids to sit down and be quiet, standing in straight lines, etc Well, I know you are very granola but sometimes kids need to learn that lif

This morning my daughter announced that her dolls had names. This is a fairly new trend since her idea of naming something usually consists of naming a stuffed dog, "puppy" and a doll, "baby". I think she has picked the 2 coolest names in the world. She has 2 dolls from the Dollar Tree that she is allowed to take anywhere (even on a Walmart trip) and she decided to

However, because of the difficulty in precisely dating the air and water (ice) samples, it is still unknown whether GTG concentration increases precede and cause temperature increases, or vice versa--or whether they increase synchronously. It's also unknown how much of the historical temperature changes have been due to GTGs, and

Tie a string on the finger, or do what I do. Have my stupid cell phone remind me every hour. I have timers set to go off to remind me to change the laundry over....I have fewer loads ruined by mold now. (I kid you not!) I have given up carrying a notebook, I kept losing it and forgetting what I was

(((lh))) thx. This sounds less like forgetfulness and more like too much on your mind. Nope. Just short term memory girl ruining my day. I'm actually d

So yeah, I'm barely halfway through the day and this is my life. I'm queen of short term memory, Princess of forgetfulness and mother of all that is insanity. I'm already frustrated this morning. I had a dr. apt and he completely ignored what I had to say, prescribing me sleeping pills even though I TOLD him that I didn't want them. He said, "You ar

I understand about the obsession thing as I am somewhat the same way although perhaps not to your extreme. I've always been one who wants to experience and do a great many things, and have done so all of my life, but I do tend to throw myself into a new thing 100%. ditto.

I tried to get my doctor to prescribe Modafil but he refused since I don't have nacalepsy. Instead he tried to tell me that my difficulty focusing, staying awake and concentrating would get better when "my husband came home" and he gave me more sleeping pills. sigh.

Congrats for taking the plunge....I know you will do great. After all, how could you not? You are fantastic!

Not to mention emotional abuse. I'd imagine that most child abusers were also abused as children, but it isn't the physical damage that causes the later problem, it's the emotional damage of knowing that the only person they can hope to protect them is doing the opposite. I don't hit them, but I do yell

Link So I'm working on more test shots with my new backdrop...I'm still frustrated with the lighting (au natural) but I'm making progress....I thought I'd throw some test shots up here for you to see.....you can follow the link to see the whole series, but I'll stick a few here. <img src=

I was looking at some pictures on Flickr and I found a group....365days. The idea is that you take a self portrait everyday for a year. There were a few other groups with similar themes but this one caught my attention. I don't knwo if I have the determination to continue this project for a year, but I think I could learn some healthy self acceptance by the end of

But at least you didn't have to pay taxes the previous years, right? You do pay taxes...and when you sell, they hit you up for every dollar that you "saved" in depreciation. It's called capital gains tax. So the house we sold because we were stuggling to keep it rented looks like a $50K profit, when i

Given a choice, would consumers really rather not pay the $10 per week to help make the roads better? Help pay for more mass transit? Build new roadways to help take traffic off over burden roads? I have to say that I still don't know how you get the $10/week estimate, but even IF that was accurate...

So me being the type of person I am....I had to follow up on this. I checked with MY rear d and with another unit's CSM to find out the status. As per one CPT and one CSM...the Army's official policy is still $1K per month after 12 months of deployment. So rest easy knowing that in this small instance...the Army is not screwing you...you just ahve a clueless Rear D. <img src="../images/smiles/bigsmile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmid

well, I have to concede the point about depreciation and capital gains...as I discovered when we sold our rental property last year. And I do know that it serves a purpose to bring investors into an area they normally would avoid, BUT This particular case is a blatent loophole and I'm still bitter about the darn captial gains tax that burned us....grrr.

Isn't it great that we know that the journey is why we are here? I've always admired how you have come so far ...may the rest of your journey in this life and beyond take you to where you want to be...
