I try not to simply repost other people's thoughts, but I couldn't have said it better..... A Thank-You Letter in This Time of War This Thanksgiving there are thousands of people I have never met, to whom I owe a debt that cannot be repaid. To you, Marine, still weary from the battle house to house in Fallujah, whom we called upon to overc

"My best friend's wedding" "I can be jello."
Just one more example of why I think you need to do this more often! I do sypmathise with you on the travel.....but just remember that you only have to do it one more time.....this time around.
Fortunately, the down side of my mood swings is pretty short. I'm just too lazy to keep it up for long!
Saw her today, very, very, very cute. My wife got that look again when she was holding her, maybe this time it'll stick........ She is a beautiful little girl, even more in person
*Big Grin* I know...isn't he wonderful....
I am sooo sooo jealous...........you've met the people you blog with! That's actually kind of how I got hooked on blogging. I knew Greywar and a few other individuals in real life and my hsuband was constantly reading the blogs durring his midtour from Korea. One thing led to another and I decided to
Today I had the chance to listen to Handel's Messiah. It's one of my favorite pieces of music to listen too, especially at Christmas. (I love all of Handel's music) It's such an intense score, with such a powerful message behind it. If you are not big on Classical music, you may want to listen to this live....the feeling when the orchestra begins and then the voic
thanks....I hate when senior enlisted and officers talk like they know what's going on....and they don't have a clue
At least everyone understands when you say..."it was Sears" I do love the candids that we took already and I have to say that I am looking forward to seeing the "professional" pictures that she had taken with her dad...I think those will be great. Until then, these will have to do. someone pointed this out to me and I have to stick it on here....did you notice how wel
I am soooooo happy! For years you have kept your inner thoughts to yourself, only rarely letting them spill out onto paper....and now, you are here. Who knows maybe writing here might actually inspire you to write that world famous novel..... I love you. me
After much harrassment and nagging, my amazingly wonderful husband has decide to stop lurking and start writing. I am so excited because i have been a fan of him for years....he really does have a way with words. Plus, he is cute. (He will hate me for saying that in public! hee hee hee) So, I'm counting on all you really cool people to check him out and mak
I hate trying to get newborn portraits done. Toddlers are hyper and don't want to sit still. My son wanted to stare at the computer screen to see his face instead of looking at the camera. My one week old daughter was tired...then hungry....then fussy....then just fed up with the whole thing. Sigh. And then when all is said and done, you see the pictures and the
I have an aunt who was so lazy she would just throw a sheet over her tree and stick it in her spare room all year. About 10 years ago, my dad left the tree up until Valentine's Day. It became a contest to see who could outlast the tree.....i finally broke down and packed it up myself!
we also fulfill the prophecy of "all people" rejoicing gosh i hate to play the part of Devil's advocate, but "ALL people"? Hmmm. I'd have to point out the multitudes who DON'T celebrate Christmas. Jews, Muslims are two of the most common, but you can add budists, Hindus, athiests etc etc to the list.
when we speak of "safety", we have confused our terms to mean absence of risk. I argree with you here. Did you know the odd of dying in a car wreck are much later than they were in the 1950s? Injury from airbags and seatbelts is up (hense the lawsuits....) Did you know that the odds of being sued from involvement in a car wreck have increased exponetially since then? Do you realize that car companies spend a much greater persentage on "con
I have a question for all you golfs out there. (I would have called you greywar, but I lost your number-and you never answer anyway) Rumint has it that KPs are going not going to be tactical after 1 Oct 05. The tactical will be handled by reservists.....Has anyone else heard about this? If you dont' want to post here, feel free to email me....<a h
My mother in law called and asked me what I want for Christmas. I didn't know what to say. I don't want kitchen stuff (kitchen is too small) i don't want knickknacks (house is too small) I don't need anymore scrapbooks supplies (house is too small, but I'm sure I can make room) I don't really watch movies. I only read the books my husband buy
insightful form me too.... "The key to a happy marriage is to find reasons to fall in love over and over again." I'm sure you have found that the reasons you love each other outwiegh any stresses (Military etc) Congrats, btw. :) UI love it when I see people who have made it work...and are happy.
okay guys. keep it nice. BTW, I'm not offended. I appreciate stimulating coversation as much as the next person and if you want to hit that subject head on you are more than welcome to so so. I'm just not really in a big debating mood right now so I'll let this topic rest for another day. (Baby-induced sleep deprivation drains my brain cells) And I know Greywar in the real world and like him anyway, so be very careful about being mean to him.....I m
I knit. In public. Very, very uncoool. yeah , does the fact I think you are cool make me less cool?
T_Bone4Justice- I ignored your comments because this article was not really about that. I was talking about Auschwitz and the fact history has been PCed and that people have forgotten what signifigance that had. Maybe I will write an article about WWII and how it took an attack on our soil before people woke up to what was happening in the world around us. We should get our heads out of the sand.....but I will save that for another time. Unles
haahahahahha.....gag. What is it with boys and boogers?
I don't know what "emo" is. I want a minivan. I scrapbook. Definetely uncool. I've never been to a concert. I am the mom who wears her pajamas to take kids to school or the doctor. (Mostly because I have no clothes that fit....post-pregnancy sucks.) I don't know how to configure my laptop....and i don't even have one. I don't have a cell phone either! I think I have degenerated into a suburban housewife....sigh. very u
