This is heartbreaking. They were good people and they weren't the type to leave things unprepared for. This is a horrible thing to happen to her. Please give her my regards. on the plus side....she has a large, loving family and many friends to help her through this.

Here is a thought. If they enact certain guidelines to prohibit sub-prime mortgages...what happens in 20 or 30 years? Right now, we have a tax "patch" that is supposed to be voted on by Congress every year to compensate for the ass-backward alternative minimum tax. It wasn't geared for inflation and now, we hope that the government does it's job. Can you imagine the cluster that this will become in 30 years if the government takes charge?<

I'm going to try brining my turkey this year...other than that...meh.
