I'm sorry that you're out of the blogging "groove" my little baa-baa black sheep. I *miss* you. But I'm glad that you're finding your "niche" out there in the world. That's more important than this, even if selfish little me misses sheepy little you. ~Moo~

I think a United Methodist Church would be very good for you, depending on the one that you choose to attend. I worked at one while I was doing a year of grad school in Minnesota, and I attended there, too. They had a more traditional service earlier in the morning, with more hymns and such. The later service had more praise and worship songs. I always thought of it more of a combination between lutheran and baptist services. I think you

How much is a kid supposed to take? Seriously? I think Hunter's punishment at school is more than enough. You've addressed the situation with him at home and such, and he knows it's not okay to hit, but if adults aren't going to take him seriously, gosh...I don't blame the poor kid. Sometimes, I can't prove that one kid is bothering another kid. So I offer the student that is telling me that they're being picked on to move. At least that allows the kid an "out". I try to do that i

Ry...I think it will show us which has the highest interest and which we should put our money into first...I think its a good idea...lets do it!

I'm so jealous! I tried to get an intramural team together and I guess I just didn't know enough people. I love to play! Get a volleyball and just bounce it off a wall. Give yourself some hard serves, some light ones, or grab a partner between games during intramurals. And keep in mind how jealous I am! lol

I went back and watched the show...I love it...and thank God for the DVR! First, I'd like to point out that this show is all one big tax write-off for everyone involved. It's a tax write-off for the builders, Sears, Lumber Liquidators. And for this episode, I'm pretty sure it was all a tas write-off for Trace Adkins, too. Nice, huh? Second, every episode I've seen the people that recei

We had lots of professional development on autism last year and one thing that researchers are finding as a cause in the past is (and Gid, if you don't know this already, you may find this interesting) VACCINATIONS. I don't recall the specifics, but it was a preservative in the vaccinations that was used in infants that had a high correllation to autism. It was a staggering correllation. Like there was no way the two couldnt be related. On extreme makeover i think sometimes they'll p

I think I'd tend to agree with you, but I don't know too much on the subject. There's just not enough data, not enough years. But I think that you're on the right track--we need to try to imact the environment as little as possible. That's what's cool with technology. I think we're going to get there. And we have cool people like Karma who, along with her family, create very little garbage (I need to learn to do that). I think "Mo

Are you eligible for those clear plastic invisible ones? And are your teeth REALLY that bad? Orthodontia...one of those horrors I'm *SO* thankful I've never had to endure. Best wishes, buddy.

I have a rather stupid question about knitting socks...are you using thicker yarn, or thinner yarn for this project? I would think that thicker yarn wouldn't be comfortable in a shoe...? But thinner yarn would take forever to knit with and it sounds like you're making headway pretty darn quick...

I watched the whole show, and I about cried the whole time. They interviewed the two police officers that he saved, one of whom can barely walk and who has undergone about 30 surgeries to correct all of his injuries. He would have been dead if Jason Thomas hadn't found him. I wish you would have seen the part where Jason Thomas said he would die for this country because he loves it. How many people in the military can say that honestly

lol...I have to chuckle at you because I just can't imagine how...overwhelming everything must be. I mean...I'm sure that you and your lovely bride are on top of everything, but I try and put myself in your shoes, and I just...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! That's what I do. I don't think *I* could be the parent of multiples. BUT I'M SO EXCITED THAT YOU AND YOUR WIFE ARE! YIPPEE!<

I'm not going to get into theological wars with all of you because frankly, I'll lose. But here's my take on the homosexuality thing. And to tell you the truth, it's changed a LOT in the past few years as I've grown and my relationship with God (I'm a Christian) has grown and changed. The Bible certainly says that homosexuality is wrong and that it's not "normal" as you ask as your key question. But as a Christian, I don't think its my job to judge gay people, I think it's my job to

Gid...you're right...and I apologize for my little outburst. I've had an el-crappo day, and I didn't mean to take it out here, LH, or on you personally, Baker. I know that it's not necessarily parents that have issues, either. And it's not kids' faults that they have allergies and such. The fact of the matter is that we're just much more diverse than we were even ten years ago and kids are much more sensitive to things than they were ten years ago as well. And honestly, in a

it sounds more like a teacher with a problem. Of course...because that's ALWAYS the way it is. I've never heard you even consider that a parent might be the catalyst that caused the problem. I wonder why it is that you do that? But I assure you...most, if not all school or classroom policy is the result of a parent complaint or a lawsuit. LH can't bring home baked goods? Some kid had an allergic reaction ONE time. Her kid can't brin

This is what happens when ONE parent gets his or her underpants in a bunch, and this is how far we've gone to include everyone. I'm all for inclusion, but I don't see how having a party, especially a party that celebrates love and friendship, can offend anyone's beliefs. I think it's crap. I also realize that kids have lots of allergies and crap, but if you're that concerned about it, don't ruin the party for EVERYONE else's kids, ju
