Yes, and managed to get fired AGAIN. How could that have slipped my mind? So that's THREE attempts at teaching, and THREE invitations to hit the road and don't look back as soon as the school year was over. Well this should be interesting Sabrina. Please tell me the other two invitations and how I man

Most, of the educators today in the public schools do not share our religious, or political viewpoints and make it clear they are not interested in hearing the other side in discussions. Most of this becomes an issue in HS. It's totally one way now and if you're not playing the game their way, your child is made to feel like a mi
But through 8th grade, there is only a 0.39% chance that a child will get good teachers for 8 years straight if there are 50-50 good to bad teachers. Well how do you define a good or bad teacher? Some of my students didn't like me because I didn't have prizes, pop, and parties like the other class. I knew
Parents ARE the child's first teacher, zydor! And they are ALWAYS teaching their children whether or not a school system is present. What I find patently absurd is that we live in a world where, as long as someone's willing to stick it out in college for four years, we deem them fit to teach. There are some truly excellent teache
Well I think banks usually aren't in a rush to do things in your favor...but when it gets them extra $$, youd be surprised how fast they work. I just pay everything I buy with my check card. Hate checks and carrying cash and Im usually pretty good about remembering what I bought and how much it cost and wait for it to go through on Wells Fargo webpage. Case in point: In December, we overspent on going to MN to see family and all and in Ja
After we get everything moved in, I told Marcie we will have to make a sheet documenting all the stuff we find wrong or broken in here. Its been a week and a half and they still havent fixed the window we asked them to. Plus with the cats, I can just see someone coming over here and leaving a door open. I figure if we take pictures and document everything and have them sign it...they will have a harder time screwing us out of our deposit when we mov
Well I think today Marcie and I agreed on something. The more we move, the longer it takes. And the weird thing is that, each move has been shorter and shorter. We Got the rental truck on Thursday and unfortunatley, didnt do much because we had some friends over (I wanted to get it on Friday but with her friends, we were taking a scenic type drive and wer
argh, well packing has slowed down, lol. Marcie took a couple of naps today as she was dead tired, hasnt been able to sleep the last few days because of a migraine (boy Im glad I hardly ever get headaches). I'm slowing down as well. Its one of those things where you have a plan and then the plan doesn't go as...planned. Im hoping we will get out of here at a decent time tomorrow so we can get to the new town and unpack the entire truck...but unpacking
i agree that Wikipedia isn't the best place for information, but they are doing a better job of getting information cited with sources. And if there isnt a citation, it will show such. Just as one can easily go in there and edit info, away from the truth or whatever, one can just as easily go in there and change it back.
Well today we had a rummage sale. Can't really call it a garage sale (thats what I call it back home anyways)...no garage. We tried to get some tables from the school we worked at but they had just waxed the floors and can't get into the gym where they are stored for three days; so we ended up using our own tables. We weren't scheduled to be 'open' until
I live in WY and I think that you are right in asking the question, why arent we digging up that shale now? However, America isn't waiting for shale....as the oil companies don't want to invest in it. Some are; as I know a rubber manufacturor in my hometown has developed a lining for pipes that carry the shale, helping to extend their life...which is another thing...shale eats pipes rather quickly. I also think that getting oil from Shale is
I need to get out more often...I guess maybe I don't know what a good cup of coffee tastes like. Its sort of like beer, each person has their unique tastes. Marcie and I got a Gevalia coffeemaker for our wedding and with it came a free couple of boxes of coffee. Well they kept coming! lol. I tried a few times to get them to stop, but they kept coming. So now we have 10 boxes of coffee which is about five lbs...just waiting to be used (Ive been th
Well, today's society can't see this. Just because you can buy something doesn't mean you should. All needs should be paid for before wants are considered. Luxury items should only be purchased when all the needs are covered and the luxury item can easily be paid for. I agree here. As to what one sho
Sort of like a part 2 to my previous post. Went to the other town today to start cleaning up on the apartment. We went and rented a Rug Doctor wide track and got some carpet cleaner as well as odor remover. There are only 2 bedrooms and a living room, none of which are really that big, but I ran about 10 gallons (or five tanks) of water just on the living room alon
Hope you like the places. I know what it's like moving from one place to another, I'm actually gonna be doing that in about 2 weeks. I have moved at least once a year for the past 10 years. Yikes! I've been in the same boat sort of...moved from my home town to the twin cities, then across the street, th
The best way to de-smell a house is to clean it, and that includes the carpets. The only concern I have with your carpets is that you can't open the windows and encourage the carpets to dry - and that might encourage some mildew growth, especially if you're using a rug-doctor. Those things SAY they're good, but having used them
since they are willing to let you paint it white, you should ask if you could paint it light colors as long as you prime it and paint it white again when you move out. it's amazing how a little coat of paint can really make a place feel like it's yours. Well thats a good idea...it would just be time con
Well Today we zipped over to the new town and I went to the apartment today to ponder what could go where and such. Upon closer examination...I realized that of all the money spent on rent and such...nothing is actually put back into the building. None of the windows open due to either malfunctioning mechanisms or because of woodrot. They claim the carpet is new, h
And what exactly is a joke about putting my priorities in order, and rather than waste 15,000 dollars on a bike when I don't make any money, I'll pay the house off first.Again, I fail to see where correct priorities are a joke. Your behavior is miles more bafoonish than my own. Well first you imply that
Dead serious. What joke is there to be found in that reply? Well....everywhere?
If you look too much to the future, you tend to trip over your own feet. Most religions will tell you the present is the only place. While Jesus said to count the costs before beginning a project, he also admonished to focus on the present day and "take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for th
Do you realize what a resounding waste of money that is? Especially for someone on a smaller income. You wouldn't see me laying down 15,000 bucks (that's 1,500,000 mother f***in' pennies, people) for a bike if I was making a anything less than 100,000 dollars a year. And that's only if the house was paid off. <BR
I'll try harder to be a stand-out Christian next time. my comment wasn't pointed towards you, sorry if I made it sound like that.
Friggen internet crapped out...always does when I post something and then I lose it. grr. At no point, at no time, have you and Marcie modeled the Christian ideal that you seem to expect everyone to adhere to. Be the change you want to see in others, ziggy. Its easy to point out to Chris
Moron. That was Gideon who made the cat remark, not me. I stand corrected, thanks.
