No there is no limit besides tiles and cash. Factories, labs, morale boosters, farms... cost cash, hell the trade resorts cost cash. You have to be able to generate cash so I go for a more modest approach. On a typical 10 planet. 1 - Stardock 2 - Factories (may buy one outright if early in the game) 1 - Market 2 - Labs 1 - Market 1 - Entertainment 1 - Culture 1 - ?? Food or Superproject. Nominally I will wait on the food for the terraf

However the game I submitted lists as unranked. Anyone knows why or what it means? Probably due to the fact that the metaverse doesn't update automatically every time someone submits a score. From what I have noted the mv has specific times it does an archive and backup. After that time than your score shall be ranked, position added, medals
Or even better, research something none of them have and sell it to them all. Especially NDT (non destructive techs). W/R Suralle
Usually, you cannot bribe your way into close relations, unless your bribe is something damn substantial, like a whole step up the technology tree. For example I was to give you photon one and two while you are only at harpoon two and three for technology. This will only help if they are in desperate need or feel they are in desperate need due to a perceived threat from you or other nations. Here are some tips that may help. 1) Make sure all of your troop transports are... grounded
You can mod them of course. Just not if your playing the metaverse, which I do. Suralle
All races get 10 ability points and you can assign unspent points yourself Not exactly true (much like independance day, the movie). There are races that you can not change their abilites, at least in sandbox mode. They screen comes up yellow highlighted when you try. Like the humans never being able to have steller cartography changing abi
Well, playing evil may give you alot of soldier bonuses and alot of planet bonuses, but at least once, sometimes twice I have seen evil empires (with poor morale) pretty much go away on me due to that planet wide fundamentalist movement, not in the current release mind you but while playing in GC1 and beta. Frankly the trade vote by the UP when your evil can be a pain in the rear tissue also. W/R Suralle Being good isn't all that its cracked up to be either, especiall
I assumed the AI had sold off the improvements to piss me off Yes Frogboy did mention on the advanced levels that the AI would get rid of stuff just to piss you off. The longer your in orbit about the planet waiting on other ships to come the more the AI will destroy things from what I have seen. I have lost entire factory base on the hurry
I found out the propaganda sliders were taken out for the final. Controlling moral will be difficult without it. Hopefully it will make a comeback at a later date.....hint...hint.... Actually, the key to morale is described above quite well but I will give my spin on it. Do not build farms in your initial colony in the first or even the sec
Your on the right track. The AI at Intelligent (one step above bright) is playing with all the AI's algorithms running and is or has the same access to data and money that you the player does. At levels above intelligent (where it starts to read more than painful) the AI is simply given more cash to play with. With more cash they tend to trade techs more, buy buildings that much more soon, upgrade buildings faster, buy ships straight out... what was that last thing....buy superproje
Matt, Sorry, that you were not happy with my performance as a beta tester. In the future I will endeavour to be even more vocal on the forums and using the prescribed media provided by Stardock in beta reporting. Please continue to provide even more constructive critiques of my and others performance as we continue to report directly to Stardock the problems we have found using their prescribed reporting procedures. I'm gonna play on "normal" now and see how it goes. Move it up a notch so that the AI is playing at 70%... vice 50% at normal than hold onto your socks and make friends with minors fast. W/R Suralle "the bad kitty" Straykat Kat Lord @ Large
Depends on your style of play. Pick a target and beat the snot out of them, especially the one giving the other two a bunch of crap. They will admire you and your military strength, by upping their friendship level than you can form an alliance with them... game over. W/R Suralle Straykat Kat Lord @ Large
1) Once an alien race has captured a resource and someone blows it up (me too) I cannot construct a starbase there. The aliens can though 2) In the detailed area the blurb sometimes states "your empires name" 3) Easy download, easyy up and playing. Graphics a little jerky in the combat scenes. Going to work on this myself for now. Seemed much smoother in the beta on both desktop and laptop (I have already shifte
You also Chief, although, luck is not needed as we Kats have 9 lives! W/R Suralle
Well I can guarantee as Suralle Straykat and his mate Che-Rene continue throughout the metaverse that the story shall continue for them. I am sure that Mr. Wardell has a story or more about his character(s) and from what I have seen he is not afraid of posting them either. Personally, this is my way of finally expressing an interest in writing sci-fi / fantasy that I have entertained for years. A big difference from what I started writing underway on submarines... short st
You really do not have to join up with anyone. As there is not direct conflict in the metaverse its more about bragging rights on how much territory your empire has carved out versus the other empires. Heck you can sign up and have your own empire with just a couple of clicks and sign in. Some folks out on the Metaverse put some demands on you as to how they would like you to win, how often you must play. The pretty cool ones simply just open the door and let you in, let you choose
Do not die, join the Pro Choice movement. Choose to not be mans best friend, choose not to provide other races with unconditional love. See the Metaverse as it is. Become a Kat Lord and Keeper of the Faith! W/R Che-Rene, Kat Lady @ Large Mate to Suralle Primary Keeper of the Faith
Fair enough. But when your ready to make a real choice... the metaverse becons and your black light shall lead you to choice. That choice is to be a Kat Lord and Keeper of the Faith. W/R Suralle Straykat Kat Lord @ Large, Mate to Che-Rene IRT: I'm wantto come up with a few races of my own once I've had some time to create appropriate
Now they search the galaxy for independent races, providing peace and security to those they conquer in return for their total submission to Ur-Quan will. I bet you keep archaic members of our beloved Kat race don't you.... well? Doncha? Suralle Straykat Kat Lord @ Large Mate to Che-Rene
Ask yourself, The histories do not lie, the interpretation is clear. Lead your fleet, lead your culture lead your civilization become a leader in your freedom of choice, become a Kat Lord. May you have good hunting... till we meet. W/R Suralle Straykat, Kat Lord @ Large Mate to Che-Rene
Which means to be a real partner our brothern most conform. No bad smell from me. Stay alive and reproduce in my opinion. W/R Suralle
ONCE again, humans best friend is the one taking the proverbial shaft. No I do not mean the dog, I mean the Kat.... Yes this is a shameless plug to support freedom to choose. Choice of what you want to do. When you want to do... Become a Kat Lord. W/R Suralle Straykat Kat Lord @ Large Mate to Che-Rene
People will vote for the man they think is taking care of them Or Kat, this is after all a united galactic endeavour. W/R Suralle
Humans, I growed tired of this useless debate in your forums. A real commander would see that tactical command should be left to the under castes. Strategic placement of forces to support and empower tactical commands are all that is necessary to ensure a positive outcome and freedom of our race. W/R Suralle Straykat Kat Lord @ Large
