IronRob: Very, very interesting post, sorry for your misfortune Some people would say bad things come in threes.......if so, you've had your share now! My older sister would say the universe is dropping pebbles on your head, and if you don't listen, the boulders will fall.... My former boss would have said "better you than me" and that always stung......of course his smil
So Many Questions: For me, being alone is : going to the movies, watching it without interruptions from friends, family, and thinking about the movie without all the chatter afterwards! Being lonely for me is going to the movies without a loved one, and not being able to hear and see them laugh, not being able to share the popcorn and share thoughts and feelings about the movie afterwards...... I can be alone, and be just fine as long a
So sorry to read of your discoveries. I know that hurt, and sometimes, at least in my case, it feels confusing when one sees old home town things gone. In 86 I "went home" and yes my childhood house was torn down, as was the grade school, and our first house,. The real shock came when I went to put flowers on mom and dad's grave, I saw graves of highschool buddies.....
VIOLET You surround yourself with art and music and are constantly driven to express yourself. You often daydream. You prefer honesty in your relationships and belive strongly in your personal morals. I forgot to put this part in. Trudy
Rose: Loved the quiz! and I'm violet......unbelieveable how accurate!
Rose: The only thing I like about that commercial is 1. the horse and 2. The melody, I've gone and gotten it stuck in my head.... To me, that commercial is like a cheap ad for a porn theatre. And scary too. Now these commercials for medication to help with a certain dysfunction guys get is the last straw!!
What a wonderful list!!! Here's a big hug for you Rose ((((((((((((hug)))))))))) Have you seen " The Greatest Show on Earth"?? It's a circus movie, Betty Hutton, JImmy Stewart, Charleton Heston, lots of colorful costumes, horses trapeze acts, and love. I wish I could push a tall, icy cold lemonade thru the modem for you!! If you need a good laugh.....go the link at my
Gideon: Bravo! Well said. Great article!! loved it, thanks! Trudy
Tis a wonderous bit of writing, you're truly an ethreal being . Thank you for sharing that glimpse, thru time and space, of winters' magic! Trudy
One time my parents and kid sister went to Canada for a week and I had a blast! Played music as loud as I wanted to, watched whatever I wanted to on tv and loving that I didn't have to watch their shows! I ate them outa house and home, and went out every night ( to the roller rink) I wasn't wild or anything.....boy, , it sure wouldn't be any different if I was a kid again....ROFL
I understand completely Gene! My nurse told me that " oh, my mother used to go rollerskating when she was young too".... and the carry out guy asked me if " don't you want help with those bags madam?" and then the final insult, the counter gal at McDonald's asks me if I want to use my "senior discount" card.... YIKEES!! Ya, I used to feel like I was in my thirties until about 5 years ago, that's the way I really felt until then.
I'm new to blogging, and have made errors for sure, I wouldn't write fiction and label it as factual though! I do leave out names, as I believe that to use names would be an invasion of privacy. I don't use profanity, and can't abide material that's obscene. Perhaps what's obscene is in the eye of the reader....... I don't try to force my beliefs onto others, and am not up for debating issues. Just a personal choice. Trudy </f
Salutations Danny Yes we got snow too! Our first "real" snowstorm, about 6-8 inches worth. I don't shovel snow anymore, the last time I did, In January of 91, I had my first heart attack. So now I leave it up to the guys with the snowblowers and plow. It's perfectly normal to want to help 'her". and also to grumble about what we have to do for our own family....I know. Some
Wonderful reading!! I think this is the stuff really good movies are made of. Trudygolightly
My daughter used to smash ants and say, 'see, all gone!" Kids.......Trudy I forgot to tell you that she ATE the ants after smashing them!
My daughter used to smash ants and say, 'see, all gone!" Kids.......Trudy
Your article I found to be very insightful, not lacking in anything! I've learned that with some of my family I can't be totally honest, so this place is perfect for expressing feelings, thoughts, and just rambling. It is sad that I can't be honest and open with one of my family members, but that discovery, through writing here, helped me to understand that the relationship wasn't a good one..... Nice to meet you <img src="../images/s
I'm sorry to read of this predicament! Why can't SOME people learn about boundaries and live THEIR OWN lives??? Perhaps their own lives are pathetic little nothingness days........ IF it was safe for you to do so, and IF you wanted to, maybe you could say some really mean, but true, things about this low life. IF you wanted to get even, there's always the telling of their "secrets" all the little things they shared with you, however I belie
Hanja: I'm so very sorry for your sorrow and loss. As much as readint this article was heartbreaking, I think it's good you wrote it. I hope writing about it helps you in some way. I wish you love and light......Trudygolightly
Greywar, our love, goodwishes, and prayers go with you. I'll send care pkgs too, please leave me an address? Merry Christmas and Happy holidays! hugs too!!
KarmaGirl: I think people find fault with other people because they're not tending to their own life!!! If they took care of their own problems, gave of themselves through charity work, volunteering, and made sure they were being as loving and kind as they could, they'd have zero time for critizing others. I also think that they publicize the criticism of others to boost their sagging egos, and because they have a mean spirit born of a profound diss
P.S., I put the face in the wrong spot in my reply to you, it doesn't go before the "now she tries to "mother" me. It belongs after it! Whoops.
What a wonderful and beautiful post! My two brothers I love – years of childhood animosity has eventually turned into a wry and honest friendship with one, and something bordering upon adulation from the other, as he tries to gain my approval on his newly adult decisions – whether it be which band to go and see, which
