My neighbor used to put tomato slices on her egg and tuna sandwiches, really scrumptious too. My favorite though is always a thick juicy hamburger, on toast, with a dab of catsup and Gedney pantry pickles. Wash it down with a tall cold glass of milk or better yet a chocolate malt.

I'm tech challenged, however... I did like that now we have "forum gremlins" stealing things like comments! That's a new expression to me.
Zoo. I really, really liked the poem. I think you nailed it. The man is lying face down now. His skin brittle, papery, it crumbles on its own. The teeth in his skull show through the remains of his lips, like a sadistic monkey grin: his last smile. That is beautiful! Thanks for contributing.
Ditto! I like it to :)

It's healthy to have a positive outlook, a positive attitude. It's also realistic to have emotions, and how we handle our emotions and how we handle what life throws at us will affect us and everyone around us. Years ago, we "journaled" our way through our lives, before that we had diaries. Now we blog. A blog is a great place to release our feelings, thoughts, and gain insight into ourselves. <br
When I do make it I usually just make it for one since ppl in this town think "putting chili over spaghetti is stupid".
OH! my ex used to LOVE to do that, he said I should try to get a patent on my recipe for chili and use it for spagetti sauce! Now that I've read Mason's recipe, I gotta try it!

love the way you describe simple pleasures, the smell of onion and garlic browning, that feeling one gets upon crawling into bed and the mind free roaming..nice.

I agree with you, change means ajustment. I like the new setup, and being so challenged tech wishe, ajustment takes me a bit longer. I do like it though, especially the way the top looks, with a dashboard and all. I guess aging, for me, has meant that I ajust slower, yet more comfortably. I used to hate change, loved my ruts, not anymore.

I think ya did great by telling him how it is. If ya'd been rude to him, it would have just confirmed his already negative belief in the world..... this way he might learn....sure hope so. :)

I believe that decades from now scientists will discover planets, stars,, and more in space than we ever thought possible. To my way of thinking it'll be similiar to "A HitchHiker's Guide to the Universe, with space going further and further...

Hey I can answer all those questions! Well ok a couple of em..... Look where being honest has got me, plain old, boring, quiet little life.... I think some lie cause they need to boost their self-esteem, to cover less than a fantastically busy, rich, and star-studded life!</
