Marilyn Monroe was reported to be a size 12, now that's what I think is average! and that was back in the 50's... I wonder what IS the average dress size of the American woman? Must be around a size 10 now since we're so hard on people's appearances vs "who they are"... Good article Serenity! btw,&n

Last Christmas all I wanted was an easy chair and I think I hoped for a car, well before the year was out I had each, just not on Christmas morning, which was fine. This year I'm hoping for a chenille floor lenght bathroom, the old fashioned kind, and a pair of slippers from LL.Bean, or else from Wal-Mart <img src="../images/smiles/smile.gif" border=

It's really hard on people when the snow falls and the city doesn't have a policy like the Twin Cities! Shovel it or pay $164.00 an hour to have them do it for ya! Yep, that's the going price to have your walk cleared, courtesy of the city of St. Paul! I think there is help available to the elderly and disabled, those that aren't able to do it. <FONT face=G

When I was a youth, come Christmas Eve there STILL was no tree, and then Christmas morning "poof" there it was, in all it's glory, decorated, with presents from Santa spilling all over the floor. In reality, dad didn't buy the tree until Christmas Eve because they were the cheapest then, and what I perceived as presents spilling ov

this is not an issue of freedom of speech Ya hit the nail on the head Dr. Guy, it isn't a government run forum, and while I agree with J., I also understand adnauseam's point, which i understand to be that some human decency would be nice, what's the point of being crude?

I was a Junior in high school, between Spanish Class and History class.... and then my mom and I watched in horror as Jack Ruby shot Oswald, scary how vivid my memories still are of this horrible day in our history.

Enjoyed this article, and yes I knew someone that had polio. M. had polio, he was a classmate of mine back in the 50's. He wore braces on his legs and was very withdrawn and shy. I re-connected with him back in about 69, he seemed to be doing better, although ( like me) he was into drinking then. I can't imagine NOT having had vaccinations back then, in the day, good grief....one of my classmates hadn't been vaccinated and in 7th

It's late Serenity, however wanted to tell you this is one of the best articles about "self insight" I"ve seen in a while, and I enjoyed it. Life is what happens while we're busy making plans, and it sounds to me like you got it all together lady! Living in the moment, taking stock, being positive to yourself, why you just keep it up! <FONT face=

Hope your breakfast was good and that you're resting easy with your feet up. Hey, whatever happened to "Saddletramp"? Would be nice to see more video if you're up to it. I remember you said it was a lot of work so that's ok too if no go. Have a good week.

Good to see a fellow collector! Diecast cars huh? does that include HotWheels? My son has a huge collection of them, the redlines, the ones that are not sold in stores, ect. I collect old catalogs, have several Christmas catalogs from different stores. Love how you describe the seller's opinions of their own wares! Price

Love the poetry, and as to the theory behind it...well I still believe that the only person we can change is ourelf. However.....our actions, behavior, and even words can and do have a profound effect on others Keep up the good work!

{ See...here's the deal. I believe that we're all made differently for a reason. The world needs tall, thin people, short, thin people, tall, fat people, short fat people, brown people, bright white people, people with blue eyes, people with brown eyes, people with green eyes. My family always taught me to look inside for worth, not on the outside. Ugliness on the inside is, to me, much more substantial than "ugliness" on the outside. Ugliness on the inside is very, very diffi

Very sorry for all you've been through in this short span of time Zoo... It's odd isn't it that death is partof the life cycle... I think most of it see it happen sooner or later, off and on, throughout our lives, eventually we get to that spot where only our own age group is left... From my own experience all I can really reccomend is that you love as hard as you can, take time to know what your relatives ( old people) have gone through in

I was just struck by the symbiotic relationship of the first 3. The bad is bad only in isolation, and the good is not always good if we cannot appreciate it. I understand the latter part, all toooooo well. However disagree (mildly) with ya on the first part, I think that abusive people that cause pain, often throu
