Yiou have done a great job on the AI, and the entire game Brad!
SSG Geezer
The Air Force Reserve will pay back $50K of your loans, or pay a $35K bonus for an MD. (JK )
I am not a Anti-MS Penguinista. I just dislike copy protections like starfarce and a DVD player that only allows me to change regions 4 times before disabling a piece of equipment I paid for. I watch movies in Korean that i purchased there and if it has regional encoding on it I screw myself if I watch it on my new laptop. If all they wanted was 64 bit compatibility, why didn't they just update XP 64 bit's drivers and programs and license wind
So an article by a troll is supposed to be taken as factual?
Is it a SecureROM system? There were problems with FEAR that required a patch for some drives. What gamne is it?
WTG! Hope things go well for you!
Glad to see you getting back to the good.
There are multiple note on the problems they are having on slashdot, and Rahul Sood's blog also talks about delays, although he does not specifically say that it is due to the functions associated with media players and such. I guess too much DRm causes problems for coders too.
Too bad it appears that they need to re-write about 60% of the program and have pulled a bunch of the X-box crew over to help them. In other words; the early 2007 release may be wishful thinking.
Must be you! Good job. when are you headin back out here to Tx?
Cranky?
Thanks BD! 12 Months 8 days!
I heard about the possibility a few weeks ago on Rahul Sood's blog (President of Voodoo Computers). he said it was logical for a quick entry into AMD equipped high end comps for Dull. Their XPS series hasn't been doing it for them since gamers usually prefer AMD. Alienware had been slipping from the elite brand ever since they were sold in Best buy. Now their customer service will be sucking too!
I will find out if it runs on my new CoreDuo 1.66 Vaio with the integrated Intel graphics and 1 GB RAM. (After it finishes loading from TG.net) It ran on a horrible Celeron 1.2 IBM with 64MB shared RAM for video so I have high hoes for my new one. My desktop screams with the game though. AMD64 3700+, 2 GB RAM, Nvidia 7800GT. I need to run FRAPS to see.
I have found it hard to get enough large ships to take out the pirates or even some AI fleets until i have all of the Logistics upgrades. No change on the large and huge ships. I have had the AI coming after me with small fleets with 40+ Mass Drivers and over 60 pts of shields and PD. They had movement too! They put mad points into the military skills and i had to struggle beating them. No change on the log points please.
Now if only Dr Pepper would do something like this!
Since I am older than most of the folks I work with and have a rep for being cranky, i guess this one hit the blasting cap on the head.
SSG Geezer may explode without warning M EXPLOSIVE <form method="POST" actio
Meatloaf /quote] LOL Good interview,I think I will burn it to disc for my HS senior who is a major Geek. Then he can work for Brad and get me free stuff!
This is pretty much my only gripe with gameplay. (other than the AI's ganging up on me and crushing my Thalan civilization)
@ Spearthrower!
I have seen my cash flow grow with the modules on the econ starbases, with Zero of my own freighters travelling in that area. Foreign ships stop for dinner, pay customs duties etc. You do make bank on other ships. And if you put enough defenses on them, you can screw up a goodly number of enemy ships if you go to war. (I have had Econ Starbases, with over 75 pts of attack and nearly that many in Defense crush attacking fleets). And
The AI does not cheat! They do get Econ bonuses at the highest levels though.
