I enjoyed the non-political portions. Politically we go together like apples and jellyfish, or that is to say, not at all. But I too like jazz, coastlines, art, and german shepherds. Mine (when I was about 5) was named King Arthur. Thanks for the insight.

It happens all the time in the community, and you never hear about it, military or not. The problem is soldiers are people too, and as such, some of them do the same crimes that other people do, namely rape, murder, child abuse, what have you. One difference though, is the military clamps down on these things and tries to keep them as quiet as possible, so as not to get bad publicity. When I was at DLI, there were large (unusually so) numbers

No, no, your priest called and said you're excommunicated now. I think he mentioned something about Lamentations 3:38-40. Personally I think you're under the possession of the sergeant major, and I'd suggest Psalm 109:8. Whatever, it's all Psalm 107:8, if jacked up a little.

but what about a teen girl who has made a mistake? Then she should face the consequences of her mistake rather than murdering her child. If you killed a two year old because it was inconvenient, you would go to jail. To me, it's the same. To some people, if they're young enough it doesn't count as kill

Can someone please explain to me why having a lot of AK-47s makes the militias in Sudan genetically superior to the people they kill? Because they get to reproduce their genes, and their victims don't?

Favorite? Me, and I'm not even that good. But I sure do like me. In fact, I'm so not good at guitar that I switched to bass. I can play anything else, but I can't bar chord for crap either. B.B. King rocks. (although I do agree, I like John Lee Hooker better.) Screw you, Iconoclast. Real guitarists? A guy you've never heard of by the name of Jim Simmons. He never made it big, but he was one of the most amazing players I ever heard. I

stratified squamous for ya My favorite thing I learned in vocal pedagogy. The layer of squishy mucous producing cells that set below the vocal ligament in your larynx and keep them lubed up with snot so you don't get callouses (vocal nodes) on your vocal cords.

The Roman emperor, Caligula, made his horse a senator. If I remember correctly, he also eventually declared it a god, and made all his servants bow down to the manure piles they passed in the hallways of the palace. Besides, you gotta admit, a horse would do better than a lot of the senators w

pick all of the weekend's NFL games and get all of the winners right. I don't watch tv. I don't even know (or care) who's playing. I could do hockey though. Dallas Stars over the San Jose Sharks (that's who they always play, and they always win), and in everything else, the Canadians.

So where did it all go? I used to be creative, loquacious, eloquent. I used to use words like loquacious, and elegant. Squamous or obsquesious or pedantic also had a possibility of appearing in my lexicon. Where did it all go, the constant manic energy? The vocabulary? The wonderful poetry I used to write? The romance and the thrill and the passion? How about
