Purchasing Object Desktop entitles you to early access to applications and betas. It's been like that for as long as I can remember.
This is true no doubt! At the same time I don't remember that people who purchased some Stardock products must pay for OD subscription to have rights to use Impulse for downloading updates for purchased software . Otherwise we don't understand each other...
Frogboy, in This Article says: To get WindowBlinds 7 early, get Object Desktop at www.objectdesktop.com .
If so this is unfair transaction... [e digicons]:hugme:[/e] When I buy any other software nobody forces me to buy something else to download an updates for purchased product... I'm using a lot of legal software from Microsoft, Adobe, Eset, TuneUP and other developers but even did not hear about the similar offers... Therefore I <span lang=
Hmmm... It seems to me that Impulse must work for you even if you are not the OD subscriber. Try to install and use it.
Also, November is not over yet; they still have a few weeks to keep their word.
The declared release date of Object Desktop is 2, December. But I'm sure that the people who purchased standalone version of any Stadock Programs must have the same rights as OD subscribers. So they must download updates through Impulse. Otherwise - this is di
Is there really any good purpose for using UAC?
I think that UAC is just a virus added into the system by Microsoft developers. So this is the first thing that must be totally disabled if you wish to work on your computer instead of permanent clicking on UAC message boxes... [e digicons]:)[/e]
I would assume anything that might have been removed was because of compatibility problems. If you need any older plugins and don't have them, let me know what you're looking for.
Thank you Mike! But there was no any compatibility problems DesktopX 3.5 with any versions of Windows (from XP to 7). Can you explain me why these problems has been appeared only after installing the 3.89 BETA? I will not tell you about tons of bugs which conta
Neil, I think the main problem is not in 32/64 bit. Especially if we remember that the most of 32-bit programs can be used on 64-bit system. The problem is that our enthusiastic " WOW " has been turned to afflicted " OHH ". Also I think it's time to think about this...
I am a longtime user of OD and have to say this makes me rather sad. I personally think that OD has been going "in the wrong direction" last few years and I am not saying this to complain I still buy it and will probably upgrade even though I don't use it anymore...
Me too... I'm using only DesktopX (which I've bought before OD), WindowBlinds and SkinStudio (until I'll find the other way to modify Windows UI).
So the big (well, maybe not) concl
It's just the internet mentality Mick...... people always expect things on the internet to be free. This is a low level of culture (or its total absence). They must understand that a Free Cheese may be only in a Mousetrap... The other things ma
Well, it's only the first beta so there is plenty of time to fix broken things before the final version.
I understand that but...If you remember - our friend Zubaz has asked us a question : What would you like to see in DesktopX 4.x? We've answered on a 8 pages. Where the results? Did you see at least one in a new version? I didn't! <span lang="RU
Not seeing it in Impulse.
Rejoice! Otherwise you would be disappointed already today...
In general I cannot find any differences between 3.50 and 3.89 except three things: 1. I see: " DesktopX Builder 4.0 " on the configuration window... 2. Export to Sidebar Gadgets has been removed... <span style="font-size:
Hmmm... I've found only two differences between versions 3.50 and 3.89 BETA: 1. I see: " DesktopX Builder 4.0 " on the configuration window. 2. I don't see: " Export to Sidebar Gadgets ". Hey friends! I've found another joke in Impulse. The update for DesktopX PRO (version 3.89 BETA) is uncompatible with Windows-7. [e digicons]X([/e] I'm seeing this funny information in the Impulse Message Box right now. It says to me: " This program is not compatible with your current operating system. " <sp
YES , YES and YES ! Registration - OK . Beta software - CHECKED . Data - RESETED (two times)... So this is a bug in Impulse. Possible it can't detect my operating system correctly. Or this update is not compatible with Windows-7. In this case I must to ask a question: for which OS it has been done?
I saw many strange things during using Impulse. But today I' ve been definitively surprised! It removed my DesktopX 3.5 and then began to show the message: " This program is not compatible with your current operating system. " each time when I tried to install DesktopX PRO 3.89 BETA . More than! The previous version of DesktopX has disappeared <span
