It would be great to see: 1. Three new ActiveX controls integrated into DesktopX: Multicolumn ListView , TreeView and ImageList (with support for 32-bit images and icons) to make applications like windows explorer. (Or improve the access to MSCOMCTL.DLL . The elements of controls must be skinable - i.e. add the support for WB skins). 2. The OnClick event
I'd like to know if Windows 7 explorer windows will be able to roll up/down. I'm using RC1 and the latest Windowblinds 7 and right now, they don't roll up/down like all the other application windows.
All these problems because of Win7 RC1. But you will never see them after installing the final RTM (or RETAIL) version of Windows.
The limit is one of licensing, and can be patched out with a test kernel
Yes. This is directly that I've done. At first on Vista and now - on Win7 x86. The system is working very quickly and stably (it's only necessary to update BIOS and all drives before the patching). Only one little thing - the Test Mode watermark on the desktop which can be removed by patching user32.dll
No. Some people just don't realize that torrent apps aren't used only for illegal torrents.
There are a lot of other places in the internet where we can find illegal software or the other forbidden things which can be downloaded through Internet Explorer without any problems.
Although I'm not sure if you're talking 32 bits overall (8 bits/color, RGBA) or 32 bits/color?
I'm talking about RGBA png files...
Stardock is pushing hard to bring their stuff up to 64 bit.
Perfect news which makes me happy!
I'd be curious to know what they are.
For example my converter for *.tga 32-bit to *.png 32-bit, Photoshop plug-ins, all sidebar gadgets created with DesktopX and several other small but very useful tools and utilities which I uses every day... The problem is with Win-7 taskbar thumbnails preview. I disabled this option by simple tweaks: 1. Create empty text file. 2. Copy and paste this code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced] "ExtendedUIHoverTime"=dword:00004e20 3. Save file like tweak.reg . Then run it. That's all. You will not see taskbar thumbnails
DesktopX 4 is the long-awaited update that adds full support for Windows Vista and Windows 7 and streamlines its user interface.
This is true! Okay! Let's wait for December... I hope that our expectations were not vain and it would be a Great Day for each of us.
Keep in mind you aren't getting all 4gb of ram in a 32bit os.
Hmmm... Please look below: I've used this already on Vista x86. And now I made the same changes with my Windows-7 x86. The system see 4GB ram and all programs are working perfect... Several words about x64. I've tested Win-7 x64 during 1 week and I'm really like it. However some of my programs which I use every
It's interesting but after applying several updates and tweaks for Windows-7 the driver began to work correctly together with WB. And very quickly! So I'm totally happy now!
Driver was for Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express ( version 8.15.10.1930 for Win-7). The problem is that I had no enough money to buy new PC for Windows 7 (I've found it but it costs too much... about $3500 in my country...). So I'm compelled to work on my old ThinkPad T61 and update all of its drivers. This driver has much improved my WEI (the game graphics from 3.1 to 4.0) but seems it doesn'
Yes, my WB is updated to 226. And thank you Neil! The problem is solved. It was my damned new video driver. Now I've rolled it back to the previous version and WB is working perfect! EDIT: No more any problems!!!!!
That's really good but... MS Office and MS Excel 2007 still not work after update (the known problem with top panel of windows frame). As well as Windows Calculator (APPCRASH after pressing/mouseover any button) and Windows Explorer which stops to work and need to be reloaded from time to time. As a result it was necessary to put these programs to the list of

The version 4.6 that you've "found in the Google" is too old... [e digicons]*_*[/e] However I understand your feelings! Just buy WindowBlinds and you'll get not only the last version and Activation Code but the ability to free update too. Seems this deserves to pay a few money... [e digicons]:)[/e]
Vad_M - What's the dock/gadget at the bottom of your screen?
This is the beta version of SD Desktop-7 named as "Chronos". Now I'm working on a scripts... Then it will be totally reskinned.
I tried virtual PC with 4 gigs of RAM trying to run XP on the normal and Windows 7 in the virtual. Ultra slow.
It's very strange... I'm working on Windows-7 Ultimate (installed as an update from Vista Ultimate). About 1 month ago I found a problem with DesktopX - it doesn't compatible with Win-7. So I was forced to use Window XP for export some of my DX projects as a gadgets. Now Windows XP SP3 works on my Win-7 in a separated window like any
Microsoft even has a How-To for anyone who wants tor try
I've already tried to do this... As a result my IE8 has been totally reskinned without using of SKS and WB and looks very great. And now I nearly found the way to make this with another parts of OS... This work takes a bit more time. However the modifying of files like *.msstyles, shell32.dll, imageres.dll, etc... will allow me not only reskin the window borders and taskbar but to change the style of
Hey people! What about Virtual PC? [e digicons][/e] The "dual boot" is very ancient way that seems is not optimal.
I'm working on Win-7 Ultimate from August 7. And I've tested the most of my gadgets - no any errors or problems was found. All works fine! (By the way WeatherLab-7 means that this gadget was designed directly for Windows-7 ) The only one problem ( that must be immediately solved by Stardock! ) - DesktopX export module is uncompatible with Win-7 and doesn't work here. So I've installed the Vi
I've totally finished my moving to Win-7 today. Good bye XP (because too old) and Vista (because it requires too much resources). I've removed these both OS forever (together with all old stuff). The future is much better than past... 1. No. 2. I've done new WB skin which support all of Win-7 visual effects. Besides I made a new skin for IE8 (without using WB). 3. For Win-7 only because I'm always going forward and have no desire to return back. XP and Vista are i
