Yes. The Sharpton thing was a joke. But I did chuckle at his speech at the convention. Thank god. I was like oh no. There goes all of the credibility of the entire left right out the window with that comment.

West wing starts Wed. at 9 on NBC. Hurray for that, as I have missed them. Additional note: Season Three comes out on DVD November 2nd

The reason I commented Myrr is because electorial-vote doesn't do the debate polls. They never have. False. I quote from the site electoral vote: News from the Votemaster Modern politics is (unfortunately) more about expectations than about reality. Consequently, Gallup ran a poll BEFORE

Again... the key word is THAT. He said he was not THAT concerned. Osama bin Laden is NOT strapping on a bomb vest. He isn't flying airplanes into buildings. If you are so pig ignorant that you can't understand what the President was saying there, then honestly I don't see how you navigate to JU and get this stuff posted. H

Arthur Schleisinger had an idea in his most recent book -- give the winner of the popular vote 150 "bonus" electoral votes, which would pretty much guarantee the popular vote winner a win in the EC. Any opinions on that? Good idea but bad idea. The problem with this is it means there is no point for the

Wouldn't it be amazing if Bush were to win the popular vote and lose the EC? Wonder if the Dems would protest the results this time. Cheers, Daiwa Absolutely not going to happen. But yes I would still be in favor of dividing the electoral votes by candidate in all the states.

Sandy, your arguments would be so much more persuasive if you weren't so blatant in your visceral and irrational hatred for the man. That part I wasn't being serious about. Its called being facistious. The point is that the ammendment as was outlined was not the actual ammendment, and therefore my comme

Even if John Kerry is elected, if this makes it through then Kerry won't be president for long. Now the e-mail I'm getting ready to post should in no way be considered fact. However I *can* say that the petition is real. Even if the petition gets action to be taken, how has Kerry commited Treason? <

Point taken. Should read bloggers who hate the left. Also known as the bloggers who aren't right . Lol. To each his own.

Actually, what it sates is that people who are joined in civil unions do not have the inherent right to the same privileges of married couples, and it also states (somewhat ambiguously) that (someone or something) can not be forced to give these rights to them. This could be interpreted to mean that the states can not be forced to give people in civil unions the same rights, or it could be interpreted as saying the president has the right to decide if

Sandy you need to look again. Electorial-vote.com has Bush ahead of Kerry by 66 points! Thats as of 2 minutes ago. I was refering to the debate.

Bush is a lying fool. Eat your words Drmiller, because every time anything comes up about Kerry you profoundly support it and everytime anything is said about Bush you act like a jerk and start calling people names, flapping your arms about and using mixed up thinking to try to prove to yourself that you are right.

It is getting out of hand here on JU. The people backing Kerry can just never be right. I say that I support Kerry, and I explain why, and I am shouted down like i'm trying to sell cocaine. Someone else raises the issue and is called a moron in a new thread entitled whos the moron. There are reasons we are voting for Kerry. You might not like them, and thats great. Now, the thing I don't get is what is wrong with one of the reasons for voting for Kerry

1.) We are in Iraq because this is a war on terrorism, not a war on ONLY AL-QUEDA. Saddam Hussein offered a 'scholarship' of $25,000 to the families of any successful homocide bomber. Despite the harboring of Al-Queda, the pay-offs to the French to alter their position on sanctions AND firing on coallition forces for 12 years str

Well today I was pulling out of my street, behind a cadilac CTS-V, and low and behlod guess what it is. Its one of those yellow ribbons. I had always wondered what exactly you were talking about when one said yellow ribbon, and now I know. I didn't find it especially gaudy, I think the bumper stickers are worse, however I have yet to see a "Jesus Fish" or a "Darwin "Fish""
