well, it has been approved, just i have to find it the hard way.. :/ i remember with bootskins and wallpapers, it would list them even if they were pending approval...

Do any logons youve submitted show under the My Skins button (next to the Logout button)? cause its not showing any of mine.. :/
you can actually open up the .logonxp in winzip, and then extract it to the LogonStudio directory (thats where all your logons are). just make sure that you extract it to a new directory (ie: make one under LogonStudio), and that winzip doesnt extract with full path names (otherwise you might get alot more directories under the logon directory)
quite a few of the things listed you can change if you look at the UIFILE.txt code......but i guess that defeats the purpose o fhaving a prog. ive already listed how to get the welcome to show in another thread, but ill say it again here: in the UIFILE.txt code, there is a section that goes: // DOUG: sets the width
id be making them, cept my monitor cant handle 1600x1200...
im surprised this is proving so hard to understand..
just an update: ive worked out why the "Welcome" text doesnt show on any logons, and its a bit strange: by default, Logon Studio sets the width of the Welcome text to be 0 pixels wide: i modified the width to 100, and i actually saw the last tw
firefox is nice; i use it currently, but it took 8 extensions and a new skin for me to be satisfied with it.. and it does load alot slower than IE (or any other browser for that matter, including opera). further still, opera has mozilla/firefox beat when it comes to installing new skins/extensions. the way opera does skin installation is literally fast, simple and perfect: you just click on a theme, and 3 secs later, its changed the whole brows
I have not had problems downloading, but I would like to know if there is a way to have the "Welcome" and "Windows is shutting down" on the screen like in the default one. Thanks yeah, ive posted a message about this a few days ago, and noones said anything, so it seems like it doesnt show <img src="http://
.... sounds dodgey.. whats the bootskin called? see if i can try it..
...okay.. it sounds like it didnt work & theres something up with it.. what bootskin is it? maybe you should look for another bootskin?? EDIT: um.. have you actually tried going to "File > Import from file..." in bootskin?
just a .bmp and .ini? well.. thats a bit dodgey.. i always thought submissions had to be a .bootskin (and inside the .bootskin is at least one bmp and the ini file) what you can do is then, create a directory in the bootskin/skins directory (whatever you want it to, doesnt really matter) and move the bmp and ini file into it. bootskin should pick it up..
sorry, for not getting back sooner.. hmm.. try opening the .bootskin file in winzip (all bootskin submissions are just a zip file renamed), then extract it into a directory under bootskin/skins. it could be that its actually extracting it to a sub folder, but bootskin only looks at the directory just under the skins directory (if that makes sense)
what do you mean by "it doesnt work"?
...and mozilla do have a section for firefox skins (at update.mozilla.org)
Ive been working on a logon screen, part using Logon Studio and part modifying the UIFILE.txt file directly, and so far ive managed to do everything ive wanted to do (including things that cant be done in Logon Studio). with the exception of this: normally, when you are logging in (not switching users), where the Windows logo used to be displayed, is a large "welcome", however, with all the logon screens ive used, none of them have actually shown i
he's done it by having everything vertically centered; if you check the power button line, he's verticalflowlayout()'ed it, with the shutdown text's contentalign set to middlecenter.
yeah, i used to love ZA Pro, right up until 5.x, where they had that extremely irritating, long system hang... i reverted back to 4.5 a while ago, but then foolishly tried the newest version of ZA Pro again. i gave up with it when even doing a clean uninstall and reinstall of 4.5 still resulted in the same hang.
....why not just use Lindows?
firefox. it finally does everything IE does for me, apart from sounds.
:/ strange, cause uninstalling and reinstalling fixed my issue.. does this happen with any bootskin?
actually, it works on my SP 2 machine. my prob. was that i would see the default boot screen for a second before the custom one kicked in. issue was that i had installed bootskin before i put SP 2 on. to fix it, i just uninstalled and reinstalled bootskin, and now it works. so you might wanna clarify whats your problem with it.
no probs at all.
hehe. sounds like someone doesnt like britney spears P dont those who check bootskin submissions check the preview image supplied as well? i find the next annoying thing is the bootskins where you cant see the preview image (Just the thumbnail) it all 'looks' okay @ 300x225, but it can be a different story when were talking about 640x480 full screen..
i think the prog bar *has* to be 22x9 (whatever the default XP one is).. every time ive not used one at that size, ill see a black bit make up for the rest. also make sure the colour palette for the prog bar is the same as the background image, and the area that the prog bar goes over is black (otherwise itll end up black as the prog bar goes over it).
