Just a though, but I've seen it happen. Maybe your system just recreated your user on your computer. Check in your Documents and Settings folder to see if there isn't another profile created and see if your "My Documents" files aren't in there.
I've bough software online. Never bough anything else. But so far I'd say my ratio is 50 good/50 bad. The "bad" is most of the times related to the lack of post-sales support if I have a problem.
Brad, I do not dispute the fact that most software companies may theoretically want to get a better product in order to sell it. But, in reality, a lot of programs have bugs. Some have huge bugs. Well, I can only speak from experience. I know two people who got Gateways, and they both got problems, both with the computer itself and from customer service. Only grief. That is very strange. I have a whole bunch of Macromedia products, and none load at startup. But my guess is still that you must have some Macromedia utility or something that is set to load at startup and, failing to find it, redirects you to Macromedia's download page. Check in your startup group (Start / All Programs / Startup) see if you have something from Macromedia there, or even any program with the default unknown icon. Kona, are you right-clicking on the My Computer/CD drive, or on a shortcut to the CD drive? The recording tab SHOULD be there (on the properties of the drive, not the shortcut).

Actually, most of the worse viruses nowadays also infect the system restore points. That's why when fixing most viruses today, one must disable System Restore before removing the virus or else it will just come back from System Restore. Dharma, what's the name of the virus? I have yet to find I virus I haven't been able to remove (not on my machine, I've never had a virus in all my 15 years of computing, but on friends and coworkers computers).
kona, if you read that test, you'll see that IE and Firefox actually compare in speed. IE is only an unperceivable tiny bit faster with table and CSS rendering, while Firefox is almost three times faster for rendering script. A lot of sites use intensive scripting nowadays. But speed aside, Firefox has the flexibility that IE shamelessly lacks. With IE, you're stuck with having it the way it is, while Firefox can be whatever you want it to be. And THAT is its strength. There is nothing wrong with free software, just like there is nothing wrong with commercial software. There are very good free products, and there are very good commercial products. There are half-arsed free products, and there are half-arsed commercial products. The main difference IMO is that when I have bugs in a free product, I shrug and I tell myself "Oh well, at least I didn't pay for this", but when I find bugs in a commecial prodcuts, I'm a bit less forgiving.
Looks OK. You should try to debug it in Firefox though, things are a little messed up with it.

There is nothing wrong with visual styles per say, it's the "software" used to apply it that's wrong. But since you can import them quite seamlessly to Windowblinds with Skin Studio, it's always nice to get info such as this.
