I have recently switched from using Outlook (which I have used from way back when it was called Exchange) to using the combination of Thunderbird and Sunbird. It's doesn't fall short. It's faster to open than Outlook and uses a lot less resources. It also has a lot more intersting features and it's calendar application uses an open standard format (the Apple iCal format). Actually, I see it as the opposite. It's telling the EU people to decide themselves what media software they want installed intead of having Microsoft decide for them. Cause lets face it, if it comes pre-installed, very few people bother to install something else. Personally, I don't like any player to take control of all my media files. I use WMP for it proprietary files, I use Real Audio for Real Audio files, I use Quicktime for MOVs, etc. For

You need to do something about those bulky grey buttons. The actual design of the skin is very elegant and soft, but those big bevelled harsh grey buttons really don't match your design. Other than that, it's not something I would use, but I can see the more feminine crowd liking it.

It still lacks a few necessary features, such as transparency and most of all a selection lasso!!! Unless it's hidden really well, it's a huge lack. Otherwise, I would indeed use it for small editing tasks. Photoshop is too big and takes sometimes too long to open (OK, I have little patience sometimes) for the trivial modifications.

Weird thing is that there is more credit card fraud in stores and restaurants than on the Net. On the Net, card information is securely encrypted and no human eye ever sees the number, as opposed to when you give your card to the waiter at the restaurant for example (bars and restaurants are the places where there is the most card information theft). Of course, there is the CSS question and the JScript one where Microsoft implemented it's own instead of using industry standards, but that's not what I was refering to. Actually, it's not. If you do your code right, it shouldn't be a problem. Test your code with Firefox first, and then check if it works with IE, instead of the other way around. IE forgives bad coding, while Firefox is a little less forgiving. Furthermore, Firefox supports alpha blended PNG's, which IE doesn't, and that's one huge cool feature. Vectors would be realy nice indeed, but how many people use a vector program to make their graphics? How many actually know how to use Illustrator or Corel Draw? Most skinners/themers use Photoshop which can only save bitmap (raster) graphics.
