Yes , but moreover the trial version you have is somewhat crippled. Not all skin features are enabled. I strongly suggest you purchase the full registered version of Windowblinds. It's only 20$, and you were to buy only one software in your life, make it Windowblinds! (hey Brad, can I get a commission on that? hehehe!)

Is there a plugin for DX available? Does anybody know? I saw something about one on the plugin page at desktopx.net, but it's a source file... Like right, I know what to do with that. Anybody actually compiled it into a usable dll? Please don't suggest a standalone application, what I would like is an actual DX plugin. Any lead would be appreciated. Thanks.

MadIce, a lot of the questions are related to schooling. I think I scored low because I am completly different than I was 20 years ago. Computers very scary machines to me back then. I loved poetry and hated maths. I avoided every science and math class as much as I could and I oriented my eduction towards liguistics and litterature. Given that 50 Megs is a big number, I have nothing against the idea. Think about it... The average Winblinds skin is about 75k, the average Winamp skin 125k, DesktopX themes can be more or less 2000k and wallpaper are in average 300k. Now, if somebody downloaded one of each of the above every week (which would almost be insane, who wants to change completely his computer interface every week?), it would take him 20 weeks to reach the limit of 50 megs. Well, not that I generally disagree, Russ, but it's sometimes not as simple as that. First, for some non-US people it's somewhat more expensive. And secondly, some people just can't buy those toys for some reason. Parents/spouse won't allow it, whatever. Personnaly, I had to wait till I got cash money for Christmas to buy my OD subscription. I'll tell you how I make mine, which is probably different from how other people do... I first start out in Flash where I make my animation. Then I export it in GIF format. The I convert the different GIF frames into one long single strip with all the animation frames next to each other. A great utility to convert GIF is a bitmap strip is Bitstrip. Then you can works out the background transparency, the edges so there is some antialiasing, and other kind of tweaking. Then export it as a
