You don't save anything, you just use a different theming engine. Fact is that Windowblinds' theming software uses less resources than Windows' "native" theming engine. Just disable the Windows one in your services and bingo! You will save a few megs there, if that's what you're after. WindowsFX relies on your videocard (and processor when using the transition effects) not so much on RAM.
Well, if it's just a name change, than I wouldn't care. But I doubt it. I am very afraid. Adobe applications have always been very good as far as their graphics related software were concerned, but they also royaly sucked for any coding related program. And that's where Macromedia was strong. Amazing programs that made coding a breeze, either in Flash or Dreamweaver. I really hope they don't turn Flash into a useless "cool point and click but extremely inefficient" program lik
Man... bad news, I think. I hope if this happens that the Macromedia software will keep the same quality and not merge into their Adobe sub-standard equivalent (Flash vs Live Motion - Dreamweaver vs GoLive). On the other hand, I really like the Adobe user interface. If this happens, I hope they keep Macromedia staff of hatever made the Macromedia products so much better.

Already have a similar feature with Firefox.
Well, Double Zero, I have to disagree. When writting, your spelling is often by what people judge you. As much as when in person, you comb your hair and make sure you make a good impression physically, when you write you should also make sure you "look good" by spelling right. Sure what you say is important, just as it is in person. But both in writting or in person, the first impression is always critical.
11/15 As a Frenchman with English as my second language, I think it's not too bad.
Funny, different strokes for different folks... I really like the new Netscape. Can't wait till it's stable. At the moment, it's quite unusable, but the features are really nice.
True, personally, I've never been afraid to "break" my computer, I'm a little bit of a daredevil in that aspect. Sure, I've had to reformat quite a few times, but that's part of the learning process. Today, "regedit", along with "notepad" and "calc" is almost permanently in the top three items in the Run dialog's dropdown list. <img src="http://images3.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="abs
There are lots of very very cool tweaks you can do from the registry. But of course, if you have only a faint idea about what the registry is, or for example if the letters HKCU don't mean anything to you, then don't touch it with a ten foot pole! But if you're an advanced power user, there are great things you can add or modify in there.
I would just like to ask Joeusers to watch their language a little when posting to threads that are shared with Wincustomize.
keegbee, I don't know, maybe it was in India, but both times I called, the person had no accent. It's not so much the qualifications of the person that I praise but the speed of the service. One time, I had problem with the battery, and they shipped me a new battery the next day! The second time, it was for a laptop I had problems with the screen. They sent me an empty box the next day, I sent the laptop right away and 3 days later the laptop was back. I was very impressed.
CCleaner's FAQ: http://www.ccleaner.com/faq.asp And the skin is actually Opus OS 1.5 also downloadable from DeviantArt . And no, it's not a Windowblinds, but a cracked msstyle.
Only had outstanding support from DELL. Better than I've ever had from any other company selling any other product. But then again, DELL's Canadian support is in Canada.
test...
thomassen: I don't know, maybe I'll supply a dummy skin to use as a guide to make further skins. Maybe some beta testers would like to make some skins after I send the next beta with the dummy skin?
The beta is for developers, and you won't see any difference until you run an application that uses the Avalon technology.
Update: I have most of the bugs fixed I think, and most of the most needed features. Now, I just got the crazy idea of making the thing skinnable. So that's what I'm working on right now. Hehehe! Kinda cool.
Home would be fine if I didn't need IIS. But since I need to have IIS to build my websites, I have Pro.
lotta: you should have received the last beta. thomassen: sorry I didn't reply right away, yes I received your emails. Replied last night. crissy, sorry to hear that. Just let me know if you want back in later.
Windowblinds skins it. It's called Toolbars in Windowblinds. A lot of Windowblinds skins use a custom toolbar, but if you want to use a different one, click on My Toolbars in the Windowblinds options. Note, Wincustoize has a section for Toolbar Icons . You can download and apply any of these by going in the My Toolbar options in the Windowblinds configuration.
Well, actually, I find both Wowfactor's typing and Kona's disparaging comments annoying... But then again, I can be easily annoyed sometimes.
Ah, even if I place the exe inside a zip? That sucks! I wonder if I just rename the .exe as .pax or something, then the recipient would need to rename it back. Wonder if that would work. I'll give it a shot.
