20 Minds are Better than One A New Way of Thinking is Influencing the World -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Global- In a world where importance is based on appearance, quality and superlatives- such as income and popularity- an old formula is making its way back into today's society. Even more so, a new way of thinking is changing the world for the better with an effect that

I must be a really bad kid. I skipped convocation yesterday morning. For those that don't know, convocation is a church type service that Liberty University requires the students to attend three days per week: Mondays, Wednsdays and Fridays. I didn't really feel like going, but it was the first one I've missed so far this year, which I think is pretty good. Because of

It's Sunday, and by 1:45pm I'm already done with my run. I have the rest of the day to relax and get a little bit of homework done. All I really have is a small English assignment to do and a test to study for on Tuesday...After I get my homework done I don't know what I'm going to do... I'm looking forward to an easy day after a week end of work. But already I've don

There was too much of a build- up. Too many people were asking. I still had not made my presence known at one of my halls legendary "Fight Nights". They were boxing matches held every couple of days; where two people would go in the ring wearing boxing gloves and slug it out for three rounds. I'd been running my mouth on the hall for about a week; talking about how I

I really haven't been that busy the last few nights. Just doing homework, studying, or hanging out. Yesterday was a really nice day. The sun was shining, it was warm (75- 80 degrees) and there were very few clouds in the sky. I ran in the afternoon and went to a movie at night. Instead of going to campus church, the school was showing "The Passion", the Mel Gibson re-

I go on long runs once a week, currently running 15 milers, down from the 18 I was doing a couple of weeks ago. When I go out, there's usually plenty to keep me busy, traffic, people, hills, and...the run itself, which can be pretty tough! But for some reason my long run today was quite the adventure. I started out as usual, from the track going down Mayflower, a nice

Okay, I haven't written in a couple of days and I have a lot to talk about. I went out on Friday night to work as usual and did my normal shift working until the restaurant closes. But while I was there, I found out something interesting: the next night (Saturday), Applebee's would be holding a costume contest where the winner recieves $50 and second place gets $25. A

Had to wake up early again this morning, had an 8am class. I skipped the philosophy class on Tuesday morning but decided I shouldn' t skip two days in a row. I've only skipped two classes this year so far (both philosophy), probably because it's my only 8am class. I don't miss too much anyway, we only have four grades in the entire class (all tests). But I probably sh

In a bit of a hurry tonight because I want to go to bed. It's a little after 10pm right now and I have to hurry if I want to make it down to latenight dinner tonight. I'm kind of hungry and am looking forward to getting a cheeseburger....or two! But today went all right as far as I can tell. Outside of the weather, which is rain, everything is pretty good. One of the

I was approached by a Natzi and his followers today. Okay, not a real live Nazi but he had the appearence of one. I was standing in the computer lab talking to my brother, who was sitting at a computer, when all of a sudden a group of people walk right up to me. There were 4-5 of them and were headed by one man in paticular. The Nazi. He was kind of short and was prob

I almost got kissed last night. And it wasn't going to be fun. I almost became the recipient of a wet-sloppy-on-the-mouth kiss from my brother Bobby. That's right, I was just sitting in the computer lab, on one of the couches, talking to a girl when he came from nowhere. I was studying with this girl and I didn't even see him approach but I saw his face at the last mo

Work last night was very slow. Especially for a Saturday night, there was no one there. I still worked until past 12:30am though. From 11:30pm on, there were only three tables occupied and I had every table bused, so I just pretty much stood at the door and drank ice tea. But hey, I got paid for drinking my favorite rasberry ice tea! I had to walk home last night thou

Went to work last night. Nothing to exciting, but it was the busiest night at Applebee's that I've seen since I've been down there. It was normal until about 11pm when TWO football teams waltzed in to have dinner. Both Heritage HS and LCA from Lynchburg both came in roughly at the same time. There were just so many people it was impossible to keep track of everything.
