I'm also having the same problem. I'm 6 timezones away from home, now in the UK, so I'm hoping it's a Stardock problem. Downloading games via the net is a wonderful thing while travelling unless the server with the client you need is down.
I was recently going through some old lists of games I wanted and ran across this unforgettable title, so I ran over to chipsbits.com and notice a gold version of this is coming out in October. What should I expect from this gold version? The full version and the expansion? I notice that it's Galactic Civilization not CivilizationS(no S on what's being sold); perhaps it's a different title? Before I make a preorder, I'd appreciate any insight that can be given here. Thanks!
