Greetings Commander, Councillors- I must be brief: I am firmly of the opinion that a robust economy (which includes both economic and research infrastructure as appropriate) is an indispensible prerequisite to any military build-up. With the economy comes the well-being and acquiesence of the population. During the economic and infrastructure building period should be adequate intelligence gathering on the neighboring powers. Greets all! I am posting here (on what I think is the correct place) to request to join this play-by-committee game. Thanks, Atra

Never seen that before. Wild. A question: what difficulty level was this on?
1154 hrs. 23 March 2236 Imperial Palace Complex, Trantor The military section of the Imperial Command Center (ICC)- no stranger to flurries of activity during the last six months- was abuzz with activity on a level not seen since the end of the last war. Though the Yuuzhan Vong had made peace with the Empire- for the second time- in September of 2235, they were still fighting all of the other major and minor races in the Empire's quadrant of the galaxy. The ICC co
I am on break for the summer. So, I broke out TA v2.02 with the latest version of the StarWarsvStarTrek mod and decided to do a summer epic. Here's what this is: Immense galaxy, Normal scenario, Maso difficulty (all AI set to Intelligent), only victory condition is Conquest, Blind Explo, Mega Events, Super Abilities, Tech Stealing enabled, Tech Trading and Tech Brokering disabled. Habitabal Planets and # of Planets set to: Common. # of Stars and Asteroids set to: Abundant. Anomalies a
If I recall correctly, the event is that scientists find something or other that activates the PeaceKeepers, which are robotic ships. I always think of them as the Berserkers; they are "paid" for by some Precursor mechanism or other.
I guess it depends on the game parameters. I almost always play in Immense galaxies with 20 other factions. My games go a long time. Usually everybody is closer to the Precursor Ranger level (but not always); still, it showing up is not an automatic win. On the other hand, if you had Dread Lords on the map, you would be praying for the Ranger to show up. Bottom line is: it depends.
Metaverse is broken? I just submitted a game...?
Hello everyone. I come here to check things a few times a week. Still playing gigantic galaxy games;waiting for GCII...
Very cool info, thank you very much! A quick further question, however: what do you have that incorpoates Far Scape, B5 and Stargate? :D
BTW- Seldon mod is on page 3 of the GalCiv Library section. Just go to Library page three. No need to choose a special category.
Thanks for the great ideas!
"IZ NO WAY TO TREAT A VALUABLE MEMBER OF DA FOUNDATION" I agree, it iz not. But OK, alright... I'll stop asking and just find out on my own. LOL
that NOBODY has an answer to my question about the Seldon mod? 15 hours after the question was posted and not one response yet....
With the exceptions of GC not being multiplayer and not being able to customize your ship stats, most definitely yes I think GalCiv is better than MoO2.Much; so much so I honestly don't even miss the two exceptions I earlier stated. :)
I would again like to add my voice to the chorus of praise for this game, while at the same time picking everybody's brain. At least, everybody who has tried the Seldon mod based on Asimov's 'Foundation' trilogy and subsequent series. The question is, given that over a thousand players have downloaded it, what is the consensus on it's playability and the like? I ask before trying it as it is not Stardock Certified; what kind of problems does it give? Thanks in advance for any replies! :HOT:
I don't know of any way to force a meeting (or to choose an issue if leader); very interesting about being voted leader... can't help on any of those other to say "I don't think so".
