Hi ya sugarpop, This is gonna be one of the easier things to learn.if you have XP that is.... Click on start, go to control panel, scroll down to user accounts.click on user accounts, click on your account, there should be a selection of things you can do, one of those things will be change user pic. click that. at the bottom of the pane that opens, click "browse" for user pics. any graphic you have on your computer can be converted into a user pic by XP, simply by clicking on that grap
Welcome Aboard RN! Nice to see new faces!! Don't be a stranger on stardock central chat!! Will watch for you in #stardock. hey you wouldn't be opposed to dropping a line and spiking a coffee iv would you?(miss those since fire-ems.net shut down!)
Be safe Kona!!
Many happy returns of the day too!!
why wouldn't these products work on win2k? They work great on all the os's ,... well I can't vouch for w95, but from 98-xp I've used it on all the os's in between, with no hitches(well ME was persnickety but it even accepted OD)
I actually found it easier to create a network on xp than on older os's. to have shared files/folders, you need to make sure you have microsoft networking files installed from your os cd.then it's as easy as assigning names to each computer(which ms wil do for you, and then assigning description (like "Suzy's puter" "joes puter" etc.) and making sure you have assigned each puter to the SAME workgroup. name your workgroup something, like Lan,george sam whatever, then make sure each puter has
Happy Birthday Werewolf!!!!(VvvvvV)
lol ingui, if she gets the jitters, be prepared to have something to distract her till they pass.. I have found making them break for an hour at dinner time, and being shut down at bedtime works very well to bring them out into the light of day. it seems like such a short time to us, but to them it's an eternity. I also have it set so they can't log on between 10pm-9am on weekdays and between 12am and 10am on weekends. It is fair to expect them not to be online when everyone else is
sounds like maybe whistler? was that one in the original skins pack?
I had similar problems with zone alarm and found the best way to work with it was to make it so wb doesn't skin anything associated with za, also found that doing the same with windows fx helped too.
I use mcafee parental control, with good results, it's customizable for the age of the child, and has a good easy to use user interface. I control mostly the time spent online, though I also keep them from the nasty sites(yes I have boys). The parental control program did make for a miserable first week, but once we fine tuned it to their specific needs, while keeping my guidelines intact, we've all learned to deal with it well. The only one with complaints now is my eldest who spends way too mu
Boxxi if you get the chance, could you email me?
hmmmm I like xandrie... but then I like to be different.
sput it'll be a good stress reliever to have something to mess with when you're at that point where you have to put work down and get your mind onto another track.
Sput, you will be an asset to the skinning and artistic community as time passes. Your maturity and positive view is refreshing and unexpected in this day and age. Looking forward to seeing your name listed as one of the top skinners in days and months to come.
Wow,.. two such wildly different reactions to moderated work. The maturity of the one over the other is blatantly obvious. I guess some strive to do better and some just prefer to kick tantrums rather than apply themselves to create competitive work. Think maybe the school system's giving everyone A's and B's undeserved has created a mass of monsters who expect to be rewarded for the slightest effort.
hmmm deskdimona... noop too female... how bout george? I will call him george, I will love him and hug him and pat his scaly little head and he will be my friend.... hmmmmmmmm... noop too male. how bout "Colors"... non gender descriptive enough?
nope no spyware on OD. Adaware plus likes it just fine. you have to be careful though, once you purchase OD, you will find it increasingly more difficult to break away from WC!.... it's addictive.... I'm thinking of forming a support group for WC addicts.... oh wait... that's already taken care of in sdc!!... lol. Welcome to the community, I look forward to seeing you in sdc #stardock with the rest of us addicts. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/bigsmile.gif" border
hmmmm I thought the whole idea of creating a new thread was to keep the original thread from being sidetracked. As I recall, this thread is an offshoot of a thread about a lizard.. no?Can't see how emotipad has anything to do with the lizard... or did I miss something?
well, she seems to be the wincustomize mascot,... why not name her ODessa? or Winni Chameleon?
