A long overdue addition to this site, thanks WC and Stardock staff. People are buying songs by the millions at a dollar a pop... a fully skinned top quality visual style is worth much more than what is being charged here. These guys and gals deserve a little return on their investment. Let's all hope they make enough to continue skinning.

Try grabbing the taskbar and resizing it. Then resize it back to normal.
Zoomba, You didn't mention whether you were running the 32 bit or 64 bit version. Could you let us know, as I think the P4 HT chips support 64 bit. Also do you know if the Stardock apps will support 64bit? thanks, bill
One recent problem I have found is in personal settings. "Show skins with this rating or higher:" No matter what it is set to, it shows all skins regardless of rating.
Corky - It also appears that Vista does not support the Zune because WMP11 is not yet compatible... go figure! http://blogs.zdnet.com/microsoft/?p=104
This is a competition, you have to use the rules to your advantage. If you are good enough to be in contention for a top prize, why submit early? Is there any advantage or bonus for early submitters? I would be surprised if any of the winning skins were submitted prior to the last day.
In reading around it seems something might have gotten messed up by Microsoft on this build. Let's hope it is fixed by the next update, it would be terrible to lose all those fabulous skins.
I was wondering if anyone else was having problems with the new beta2 version of WMP11? I installed it, sometimes you have to do these things. It seems to work well enough. However I have noticed that some WMP10 skins, especially from The Skins Factory do not work properly. It is pretty apparent even from the screenshots that something is not right. If you are having problems like this can you drop a reply below. thanks, bill
Have you tried uninstalling Windowblinds in SDC and then reinstalling it?
I would recommend using a "Per Application" setting in WB Configuration panel and excluding this program. Once applied WB will completely ignore this program. This should be a temporary fix until Support can review the issue.
Everyone's mileage may vary but... My taskbar starts with a with my WB skin loaded. WB has never deleted a wallpaper on my computer. Everytime I reboot the wallpaper of my choice loads on the desktop. I have been using WB for 6 years now and have no complaints at all. kith

I re-install a few times of year myself and have never had a problem. I would assume that for piracy reasons that re-activating your serial would have a limit. However I am sure a few times a year is well under that limit.
If you are dumb enough to use a crack why would anyone think they would be smart enough to not ask for help in here... Follow the logic people...
^... Would I threaten to call the FBI on you?
Installed Object Bar and rebooted. Opened Object Bar config from Start Menu and tried to apply one of the default themes. Boom, crashed. The standard Microsoft Crash box came up and I clicked to report. Something is not quite right.
I don't think that they should be banned from competing soley based on their employment. The main reason is that there is already so much interaction between the top skinning artists that "everyone is a friend of someone". I think they should decide to either be a judge or a participant, but not both. I think it would cause resentment if you allowed any participant, Stardock employee or not, to judge a category that he/she was not participat
Jafo / Brad, I think you are looking at this the wrong way. I think OD/WC customers pay for way more than 15 min. Stardock is the one allowing 20 million visitors a month to suck the bandwidth like a drunk at a pub. Subscribers don't control that, you do. I pay a subscription to help cover the bandwidth "I" use. I don't pay so 20 million users a month can browse the site, I pay so I can. Shut out the 19.9 million users if you must, I cou
The Chicago Sun-Times published a nice review of Object Desktop today. It's a good read from a big paper.
Question: If Galciv2 is the problem, why not turn off that website? Why does WC and it's paying subscribers have to be shut out? I ask this becuase game traffic is well temporary at best. A few months from now there will be zero press about the game. The OD/WC subscribers keep paying year after year. I went on GalCiv2.com yesterday and pages were loading briskly, while it appeared that WC was completely shut down. It's like buying a Gym memb
Awesome. Thanks,
Sounds like this would be a good time to learn the art of skinning.
