Why should i sugarcoat anything? I am not invested in Stardock, i am just giving my point of view. The game needs work, no doubt but its not THAT bad. Oh and pray tell: where in the OP did you find effective critique? [e digicons]
1. Blowing stuff up is a little graphic that goes poof. 2. Exploiting is only fun if it is a challenge. 3. You can only expand so many times before it gets boring. 4. Exterminate is boring because the AI sort of rolls over and says "kill me." The problem is all those features you're mentioning is fluff. The core game is unbalanced, the tech trees ar
eXplore - still good, like it. eXpand - could be a bit better. Just giving penalty to morale doesnt cut it IMHO. That upkeep mod is a good start. eXploit - is good, but could be better. I would love to see an expansion that adds to the usefullness and choices around special resources. eXterminate - add a 'Patrol' or 'Engage' fleet command an i am happy. Overall i give it 8/10.
Quoting , quoting post Removed the Ultra Transformer improvement. Um. Not a fan. [e digicons]:([/e] ...
I am. Planetquality was more or less irrelevant as soon as you get the UT tech. Now it matters even in late game.
I always thought the planetary wheel was overkill and never used it anyway. Great change IMHO.
That was fast, thank you. If i may ask, is the constructor spam problem looked at in 1.3?
Ein paar wenige. [e digicons]^_^[/e]
First of, it's six XML files. Five in the Game folder, and one in the Text folder (the files Stardock lazily left in). And again, you did not answer my question. The files Stardock left in are completely useless without the rest of the DLC. All they do is register some strings, but these strings are never called anywhere. You can delete them with no adverse effects. <str
Thanks for the heads up. Looks great.
Base game. It is still fresh and fun, so i have no need for mods.
I agree that this is needed. Playing bigger maps without it is just not fun.
Good stuff [e digicons][/e]
I have to agree as I have been playing Endless Space lately. The ability to turn on governors, combined with the power of the spreadsheet sorts, makes large empire management much easier than GC3. I hope SD and crew fixes this soon.
Yeah. I really, really think every Dev on the planet should play ES and take notes on the UI design. I think it still is the best UI for this sort of game i ever had the pleasure to u
Would love that!
I smell [e digicons]:troll:[/e] You spew false Information, you get corrected. You start personal attacks ('pudgy little basement dweller'). You play the nationality card (canadian vs american) and get called out on it. And now YOU demand an apologie? [e digicons]XD[/e]
Cool if it were not real ... [e digicons]
Very well done. It's been a long time that i read that good a Review.
Great find and if that is intentional, it is kinda badly designed.
I think that is a great idea! [e digicons][/e]
To make GalCiv 3 future proof they had to invest a whole lot of money into the 64bit engine. And with everthing on a budget they had the choice to make: a ) cut features (and implement later) b ) increase the price You paid more for GalCiv2 + Expansion than for GalCiv3, so you get more features with GalCiv2.
Wasn't talking to you stupid penguin. [e digicons]:borg:[/e]
Dont you think your repeated personal attacks a out of place here? I would really appreciate if you could stop that. Pretty please?!
Ah ok, i will wait that one week then. I trust they will get it right. Thanks for responding. [e digicons][/e]
Is it safe to play right now, or should i wait for the release patch? I want dive ito it, but from reading i get that the last patch did break some things?! What should i do ... [e digicons]8C[/e]
Yes, i lost a few planets to the AI. I thought it is quite a bit to good at finding my undefended planets and sneaking invaders there. But it is an early game problem, the AI isnt good at keeping up with the soldiering techs.
Oh [e digicons]8C[/e] Well, i didnt like SoaDA very much, but i really liked Sins and Ironclad in general. I wish them all the luck in the world.
