I don't like the map, both the world map ... I hate the look of it, it's so square and so bland. I think one of the main problems is that you designed a cool concept of being able to change and mold the land, but it was never really utilized and the cost was some really ugly squares that just don't look like anything. I hate the squares that act like octagons. It's a terrible thing for tactical combat.

Because then it wouldn't be a TURN-based game. Not being snide, but once you get out of the lockstep idea of having only one side be allowed to perform an action, you start to introduce all sorts of problems of synchronizatio
yep the problem is they are not much more good than any other troop, and since the game is over when you lose them (in campaign at least) the risk is not worth
On map one you can loose the rogue. She will be back in the Throne City after 3 turns. On map two its the draconian you can loose. Its always the main character of the map that gates reborn, because only he has a Throne City.

I played two nights straight and i think it beats LH through the next wall. I think it is just better at everything it does. You could say it is, what i hoped LH would be. Also it has much more flair then LH ever had for me. The (elven) campaign intro is much more inspiring then anything i ever read in LH (sorry Frogboy). The little stories that are attached to every unit are a labor of love. Hero leveling is done better, giving hard choices everytime and making me care much more about my her

Again? Really? *sigh* I for one don't want tactical battles. I find them boring. I found them boring, after the initial 'Oh cool', in MoO too. Something just a little more sophisticated the Endless Space (great game) and i am happy. And to be honest, i dont even need that. Combat in GalC2 was OK, too. Also i don't need tactical combat to immerse myself, so please speak for yourself.
I think the consensus is no WOM. ... The original WOM could be summed up like this: You had your sovereign. He was a channeler which meant he has magical essence. Essence could be spent on: (a) Reviving land to build cities on OR ( Turning people you found on the map into Champions (you would not have enough essence to do both well). There were NO quests You could marry and have children which woul
Please no. If you want to waste your money (thats my opinion strictly) put it on the ground, nicely stacked, burn it and post the video on YouTube. That at least would give you some attention from the web. Or, less wasty, give it to charity. FH was so much better, i see absolutly no reason to release E:WoM again. None. To bring E:WOM up to par would take you too much resources which could be better spend.
If i interprete Frogboys answer right, there is no NDA yet. So I don't see why you have that questions at all. If they release a NDA, those points will be answered there. If they don't release a NDA, those questions don't need to get answered.
I would'nt think so after reading this:
Those who like the idea of designing carriers and seeing carriers in action in fleet battles I think will be happy. Those who imagine fleet battles that play like MOO2 (i.e. where you're micro managing individual units) will be less happy.
Looks very clean. I like!
I've edited my post a bit to get my point across better. I'm not looking for a card system exactly like Endless Space had (although I do think it did a tolerably good job), but something like putting the player in the fleet admiral's position, rather than giving them direct captaincy over every single vessel in the fleet. Giving orders to ships not individually but by division or class, passing out formation and engagemen
Hm. Mildly interested. The 3rd game looks good, but it is iOS and i dont use that. I was hoping for some PC anouncement ... Anyway, good luck!
