I see much the same things as Kblore. For the most part they get it right even though they are going by "What do I need right now?" instead of "What would this planet be best for?" .

Can you start a Metaverse game, save before turn 1, and play through until completion then save the EndGameSave as something else then open the same game again CTRL N play through until completion and still be able to submit both game for two seperate scores to the Meta? Reason for asking. I am about to take a trip for a month or so where I will not be able to connect to the internet. If the above could be done it would be alot easier than having a to start and save a bunch of games t

Those who were Diplomats in GCI and beta tested GC II moved up a notch. I was late into GCI but beta tested GC II so I moved to diplomat. I think Veteran should go to any one who puts up 100 games.

I don't think I will have any thing more to give until the end of Nov. I am about 1/3 through a Huge Maso. First time w/ all 9 races so I am hoping that will boost the score a bit.

Seen both of these. I love the first. Can never have to many resources. You can tell if you have done the second one inadvertantly if there is a ship on the Starport Gov screen that will not change over to a new build.

Sounds like a good game. Even though I play for the mil win I do the initial expansion leaving planets speciffically for the AI to have so I can take advantage of the flip. About 2 yrs into the game I gift them Xeno Farm III, Ind Sectors, and NLC so when they flip I have power house planets.

try raising the difficulty level some more and see if you can still afford upgrading your designs only when you feel like it.. it just doesnt make sense to build phasor I when you already have phasor III I play at maso and obscene and upgrade very little. Usually only to switch from one atk/def to another. To start I only build hulls

Never seen the humans do that well but I play huge maps. Only time they amount to anything is if another AI surrenders to them and they usually botch that as well. For how the AI is writen, I think the Terran was redone a bit last patch but as far as which are similar I have no idea.

You have to research up to that point. The path is Xeno Communications. Universal Translator. Diplomatic Relations. Trade. Then you will get the ability to build the games provded freighter. Or you can design one of your own. Just make sure you put on the 'Trade Module' in the ship creation screen if you make one of your own.

I have had massive SBs tied into my trading routes that brought me close to 9K/week in trade income. Took forever to build but the extra BC was nice. Let's go one step further: how does _trade_ work? Should I chose to trade with closer planets if there's more people? Or does distance matter more? How many min-freighters can be blown up before a rout gets canceled

OP, did you ctrl n? I have seen after starting my huge masos that the difficulty will reset *rarely* but it has happened when using ctrl n.

I am not opposed to starting another character but I will not due it just to increase the empire ranking. Like DG said, its for fun. Of course the competition is part of the fun too and these usurpers of the crown will soon fall upon there swords. DM. The games were corupted somehow. I saved these directly to the laptop so they should be okay. Hopefully have time to get a few in.
